He doesn’t need to get it banned, just needs to tie it up in court for a while so it can’t get a US distribution deal until after the election.

But on what grounds could they block a movie in court? It’s literally the bedrock principle of CU that the government has no role to play in blocking those kinds of movies. It violates the 1A of the filmmakers, and likely dozens of laws. Would a conservative judge actually try this?
