I have often wondered how I would react if suddenly put in a totalitarian system whether I would be a defender of the abused. Were I in Amsterdam in the 40’s would I have had the guts to hide the Frank family. While I would like to believe I would, I suspect that maybe I wouldn’t be brave enough.

But one thing that I have never really thought about and I need to is if a totalitarian system got imposed and I, being atheistic, would be the persecuted outcast. Would someone hide me. Would I go out in a flame of guerrilla-ism. I probably need to think about this because it is not as unreasonable that it could occur than I probably imagine.
