I see coyotes pretty much every day I’m on the road (3-4 times a week) in the summer. Very seldom do I see more than one at a time. I think the biggest pack I’ve seen consisted of 4 members.
A few years back we had a massive increase in gopher numbers, now we see an increase in everything from eagles, hawks and falcons to foxes and coyotes.
OK, I’ll spill. We had a group (3) coyote’s kill a cat in our yard. We live in a pretty rural area of a city. Heard noises - probably about 1 am. Went out with camera (no flash) got lots of gruesome photos. What can I say? I should have been a zoologist. I hate it when I see the many missing cat signs around. I know there is pretty much no hope.
