In other words, McCain approved of the title change and added an afterword to that issue. Thank you for admitting that McCain did in fact consider himself a maverick.

It doesn’t work that way. Publishers control the title. There is no indication he approved the subtitle. There is no reason to think he was even approached for approval.

I am not saying he disapproved of it, only that he now says that he doesn’t think of himself that way.
