My dad, who’s in his mid 80s has the original revere ware copper bottom pots and pans from when he and my mom got married. They still look great.

When I got into cooking a few years back, we watched the sales and managed to snag one of the nice Cuisinart stainless steel clad sets for under $200. I take good care of those.

He turned the small frying pan black. GRUMBLE. I haven’t tried the oven cleaner yet but that’s probably the next step. I’ve put in a lot of elbow grease with the Barkeep’s Friend.

Between those and my enamel-coated Dutch ovens (Lodge) I am a happy person.
