I think what you’re remembering was that STAFF worked on it, and Trump was involved. That was bad enough, since it’s paid Federal employees working on a campaign-related issue in the White House.

But this also explains why Trump thought he was so clever to mention talking ‘adoption’ with Putin at the G20. He’s like the old Jon Lovitz character, the compulsive liar…
