re: #97 Wendell Zurkowitz ((slave to the waffle light))
I recall stopping at Steamboat Springs ca 1973 on our family trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. I guess that’s about as close as I have ever come to your home town.
People don’t come to my town unless they are hopelessly lost or completely unhinged. /s
Actually that’s not true: We are on the Oregon Trail (and thus the road through town is a National Historic Place). We even have a friend coming by from Omaha to visit on his way back from his annual Colorado beer pub hajj, and last year we had a friend who came by when he was traveling to Yellowstone.
(The second fellow I mentioned saw the town sign and said, hey, that’s where Anymouse lives. He then spent about twenty minutes at the general store asking where I lived in town with locals giving him the side eye wondering why an out-of-stater was asking about me.)
