Pussy Galore was a lesbian in the original Ian Fleming “Goldfinger”

So was Tilly Masterton, as 007 noted when he and Masterton first saw Ms. Galore;

Bond thought she was superb and so, he noticed, did Tilly Masterton who was gazing at Miss Galore with worshipping eyes and lips that yearned. Bond decided that all was now clear to him about Tilly Masterton.

And in the original novel, Goldfinger’s “minions” other than Oddjob, who was supposedly Korean, were mainly Chinese, supplied by the Beijing government along with the “exceptionally dirty” (cobalt-cased) A-bomb he was supposed to detonate in the vault.

(Which makes no actual sense, as the result wouldn’t be “radioactive gold”, instead it would be “heavy metal fallout spread over half of Kentucky, making it look like Chernobyl for about fifty years”. )

/but then, Fleming wasn’t a physicist or nuclear weaponeer, just an ex-Naval Intelligence type who wrote spy novels. Very good spy novels, but, well, you know…
