Not to mention that a 2k entertainment expense, no matter where it was, would raise eyebrows.

Is there any evidence that Steele knew the reimbursement was made prior to it hitting the press? I’m not a huge Steele fan but there is a lot to criticize him over that is far more serious than a low level volunteer misappropriating funds with a reimbursement over a party they were told not to expense.
