if you live in a rural area ( wild animals,police far away) or dangerous area (police close but may not be coming anytime soon), possibly not physically strong, a defender of you and yours… what would you suggest for protection from intruders, predators, wild animals and the like?

Pretty much anybody can handle a .30 carbine M1. It was designed to replace the Colt 1911 pistol and I can fire mine one-handed. Load up with round nose softpoints and add on a M4 bayonet and you’re ready to deal with most threats except for very large aggressive animals like brown bears, moose, or elk.
