Maybe I find it disturbing too because it reminds me of mortality. Even more so my own mortality. Not that his end would be anything like mine. Well, of course it wouldn’t. So I’m not really seeing Gaddafi and all his ill deeds. I’m just seeing a man. Almost like it was a theater of the mind.

I understand that and sympathize with it. We’ve grown so used to the figure of Gaddafi, the dress-wearing nut with bodyguards and military surrounding him. To see him, reduced to a broken man before being killed in such a fashion, is a bit different from how we might have imagined he’d meet his end. But meet it he has, and all we can do now is move forward.
