Maybe it’s not. Maybe it’s impossible in its current form. Maybe it shifts the tax burden from the wealthy to the working classes. Maybe it’s a work of fiction. Maybe it won’t work in a recession when people stop buying things. Maybe.

What’s his name, Bush’s early press secretary, published a column just the other day, about how more people should pay more taxes, rather than exempt half the population from worrying about federal taxes - and EXPENDITURES. I agree.

Not sure it shifts the burden much, but it might, a little, and at least all voters have shared interests.
