Obama will win approximately 60-65% of the electoral votes in November.

I would not pick a number but UI do expect a big, big win. A mandate so to speak.

it lists the President’s accomplishments during his first term.

Asides from being Hitler, I would assume.

I'm hoping Teavangelicals decide to go with a third party like they've been talking about.

It's a long time between now and Election Day and a lot can happen. I'm not comfortable predicting a definitive win for President Obama because of it.

That said, the GOP are currently making the same mistake the Dems made in 2004 -- running an out of touch rich patrician Masshole that no one really likes on an agenda of anger and obstruction of the President's agenda. They're going to have to do better in order to win, unless the shit somehow hits the fan between now and November.

If a President is reelected, I consider that to essentially be a mandate. But the result of the bloodletting, fratricide, and cannibalism in the GOP primaries will be a much easier win for Obama than it would otherwise be.

I'm not going to make any predictions either but Romney is his own worst enemy in my opinion. He just comes across as more and more out of touch as the campaign progresses. I don't expect Mitt to be a fake populist but snobby rich guy just doesn't work.

I fully expect Mitt to be a fake populist, and to be fair he's giving it the old college hoo-rah, it's just that he's really, really crap at it.

I'd say this ad rather nicely acts as a counter to all the assholes on the Right saying that Obama "can't run on his record."

Oh yeah, I totally forgot that he tried calling Obama an elitist for going to Harvard even though Mitt himself spent more time there. That's a lame attack. If Obama attacked Mitt for that, I'd feel the same way. Nothing wrong with Harvard. If one of my family members got accepted there, I'd be proud.

Definitely, when you put it all together even while facing the most obstructionist congress in US history since the Civil war he got a hell of a lot done.

Nice dig at Santorum too who thinks it's snobbery to think every American student should have a chance at higher education.

At the WHCD, Pres Obama reminded people that while he only had one degree from Harvard, Romney has 2 - then called him a snob.

It won't matter. If Republicans get more than 2% they call it a mandate. Democrats can't have a mandate even when the margin is four times that.

2008 margin: 7.2% Obama
2004 margin: 2.4% GW Bush
2000 margin: -0.5% (GS Bush won on electoral votes)
1996 margin: 8.5% Clinton
1992 margin: 5.5% Clinton
1988 margin: 7.7% GHW Bush
1984 margin: 18.2% Reagan
1980 margin: 9.7% Reagan

That sound you hear is all his YEC listeners sending in angry e-mails telling Rush that the Earth is clearly only 6-10,000 years old at best.

NC will depend on the black vote turnout. Agree about Indiana. The fact that Obama won it all last time was impressive in its own. I think Obama will win here in Virginia by the same margin he did last time. Romney may have won the primary here but getting 60% of the vote when your only ballot opponent is Luap Nor. Well that says a bit.

37 Feline Fearless Leader  Mon, Apr 30, 2012 12:14:11pm

OT. But after watching people-carrying small ferries in the Venice video last night and seeing equivalents on the Saigon River last year this hits home a little bit harder than it normally would.

If he is re-elected it will be interesting to see if there's an anti-Democratic backlash in the mid-terms, like in 2010, or if the GOP manages to shoot themselves in the foot, a la the Clinton impeachment, and give the Dems a mid-term win.

Kassam rocket fired from Gaza into Israel; no injuries

Palestinians fired a Kassam rocket from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel Monday night. The rocket exploded in an open field in the Sha'ar Hanegev region. No injuries were reported.

The Color Red rocket warning system was heard in surrounding towns. Security forces were searching for the exploded rocket.

"...is longer than the others — because it lists the President’s accomplishments..."

He forgot to talk about the 15 trillions in debt, the number of fundraising he attended (more than all the president from Nixon tho W. Bush combined) and the amount of money spent for vacation.

But I guess you are not really interested to look at those facts :-)
