Some people want this election to be about the past, but elections are always about the future. Democrats would love nothing more than for Republicans to take our eye off the ball and focus on days gone by.

We are very concerned that upcoming elections do not result in massive clusterfucks like the last one, which is why it is vital to determine what happened and who is responsible so that they do not attempt to repeat it.

I can remember several decent Night Ranger songs from my high school era (1979 ~ 1982). “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me” and “Sister Christian” were the “big” hits mostly thanks to MTV. Not the best band ever but far from the worst and certainly more competent than Kid Rock.

And, unlike Kid Rock, I don’t insta-change station if a Night Ranger song comes on the radio.

The state welfare department has fired Brad Pigott, the former U.S. attorney it contracted to claw back millions in misspent federal funds from dozens of people in Mississippi’s sprawling welfare scandal.

The termination comes about a week after Pigott filed a subpoena on the University of Southern Mississippi Athletic Foundation for its communication with several notable people, including former Gov. Phil Bryant, to get to the bottom of why it received $5 million in welfare funds to build a volleyball stadium.

“All I did, and I believe all that caused me to be terminated from representing the department or having anything to do with the litigation, was to try to get the truth about all of that,” Pigott told Mississippi Today hours after his firing on Friday. “People are going to go to jail over this, at least the state should be willing to find out the truth of what happened.”

not sure what they’re supposed to be doing. they didn’t give crucifixion victims nice little platforms to stand on. You died by suffocation, and it was a slow process, taking a day or more. Jesus only died when he did because a compassionate centurion was kind enough to inflict a mortal wound on him with a spear. Random code share. This computes all of the permutations of a given list or string. The main call, gen_perm, takes care of the subtle differences between strings and lists, and then calls gen_perm2, which actually does the permutation part. As it computes a permutation, it passes it to the “listener” callback, which defaults to the python print method. But you could pass something else in to collect it or whatever.

I like watching this groomer (from Ontario, Canada) do her thing on dogs and cats. (Oh, and once, a dog’s emotional support rat.) She provides information about the breeds of dogs she is grooming, their temperament, what kind of lifestyle/family they’d be suited for and how much upkeep they require. Today’s breed gets mistaken A LOT for *doodle dogs. She went into an explanation about why groomers, trainers and others who deal with dogs are not fond of *doodles. A lot of it has to do with irresponsible breeders, or “greeders,” as she calls them.

I can remember several decent Night Ranger songs from my high school era (1979 ~ 1982). “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me” and “Sister Christian” were the “big” hits mostly thanks to MTV. Not the best band ever but far from the worst and certainly more competent than Kid Rock.

And, unlike Kid Rock, I don’t insta-change station if a Night Ranger song comes on the radio.

I started watching a youtube video of some guys hiking one of the trails from the south rim of Grand Canyon to the river. The kept a sound track running for the couple of minutes I watched that consisted of Kid Rock material, maybe some other hard rock music, all at loud volume. Disgusted, I quit watching. You simply don’t need that kind of sound track (or any soundtrack, for that matter) in church, which is what the GC is to me.

I just heard TFG’s voice from downstairs so I went to turn the tv off. Someone had left it on CNN. Jim Acosta, whom I like generally, was using it to set up an interview with Marc Lotter who was billed as former Trump strategic communications advisor and now leader of the America First Policy Institute (or something like that).

Acosta: after Trump staged a coup, why bring him back to DC to give a speech?

Lotter: well, given the absolute failure of the Biden administration, he’s got what American is clamoring for….” CLICK.

I know that there is a directive that hosts have to have conservatives on, but this is just campaigning for Trump. Again. Fuck.

i certainly would never go back

i’ve been in every state in the union.

biked to each of the 48 at one time or another. most of the time clearly dressed as ‘biker’, with NY plates and a religion in my back pocket many of them wouldnt have tolerated had they known. (they think they can tell by looking, but nope - you cant)

never had an incident. and met lots of wonderful people in the unlikeliest of places (i had pre-judices too)

there are many states i would not risk going back to, or even consider passing through

I don’t know where you are, but I would suggest looking for churches that tend to be diverse in who attends. The big church here, for all it’s faults (including that it’s BIIIG), is probably more diverse than the population as a whole just because there are a whole lot of small churches for the people I would never want to associate with can go. I don’t go to church, but my parents go to that one, and I have attended once (on their 50th anniversary weekend) and it at least wasn’t one color.
