PLO spokesliar Saeb Erekat has resigned from Arafat’s “cabinet” 9 or 10 times now, but in today’s Washington Post he says George W. Bush had him fired: Why Did Bush Take My Job? (Hat tip: Carl in Jerusalem.)

Erekat’s op-ed is the typical Palestinian propaganda line, but the best part is the final paragraph, with this jaw-dropping, bald-faced howler:

My role as chief Palestinian negotiator may have been taken from me, but I retain my role as a Palestinian father. I am determined to teach my children that violence is not the answer. President Bush has not made my job any easier.
