Palestinian Work Accident Watch
Oops! No virgins for Khalil.
Two Palestinians, including a local terror cell leader, were killed Monday night in an explosion in a car in the West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian medics said.
One of the Palestinians killed was Khalil Marshud, the commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the Balata refugee camp in Nablus. A third person was also traveling in the car at the time of the blast, Israel Radio reported. The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear.
UPDATE: Not a work accident this time: Head of al-Aqsa Brigades in Nablus killed in IAF strike. Good shooting, IAF. Does this mean that dead Khalil gets his virgins after all?
The head of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the refugee camp Balata in the West Bank city of Nablus Khalil Marchoud was assassinated in an IAF strike, Army Radio reported Monday. Marchoud’s aid was also killed in the air attack in which several Palestinian bystanders were injured.
Security officials believe that Marchoud was responsible for masterminding over twenty terrorist attacks in Israel over the last few weeks, including an attack in Jerusalem and another in Emmanuel.
“In this assassination Israel eliminated all possibilities for a ceasefire. We won’t abide by any ceasefire agreement, and we will avenge our leader’s death,” a spokesman for al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades said.
