Corrie’s Teacher to Israel: Defense is a Crime

Steve Niva, who teaches international politics and Middle East Studies at Evergreen State College, and who taught Rachel Corrie to throw herself under a bulldozer to defend smuggling tunnels for terrorists, has an Israel-bashing piece in the Seattle P-I: Israel ignores the lessons of history. (Hat tip: Shark Blog.)

The usual tired lie of the left is that any attempt to fight back against terrorism will only breed more terrorists. According to Niva, defending against terrorism with a barrier is even worse than fighting back, and will push the Palestinians into more horrific violence than they are already committing.

It’s interesting that this ISM terror supporter believes there are still depths to which the Palestinians haven’t descended.

Those who profess concern for Israeli security are dangerously mistaken if they believe that building a combination of concrete walls and electrified fences around Palestinians in the West Bank will end suicide bombings and enhance Israel’s overall security. In fact, as history has shown, it will likely lead to even more, not less, daring and devastating forms of violence.
