The radical Islamic front group calling itself the Muslim Student Association invited antisemitic bigot Amir Abdul Malik Ali to Cal State Long Beach on Thursday, to preach about Zionist conspiracies and the destruction of Israel: Heated campus debate. (Hat tip: Terp Mole.)

As usual, the MSA tries to picture the vile hate speech of this lunatic as “the other side of the story.” And after ranting about the “defeat” of the “apartheid state of Israel,” Malik Ali has the sheer gall to tell us that … you guessed it … Islam is a Religion of Peace™.

Ali said in his speech that the media, particularly outlets “controlled by Zionist Jews,” were unfairly depicting Israel as a victim of armed conflicts in the area, while ignoring what he said are the many wrongs being done to Muslims.

“Y’all ain’t seeing the Muslims getting hit,” he said. “You’re not seeing us being raped. You’re not seeing our land being stolen. You are not seeing our families being killed, murdered in cold blood.”

Islam is a peaceful religion, Ali said.

This disgusting bigotry and victimhood went over well with the Muslim students in attendance.

Nour Kweider, a 23-year-old member of the Muslim Student Association, said she liked the speech.

“It know it got a little heated, but I think he made very valid points,” she said. She said she was upset that some in the audience incorrectly perceived that “we are against the Jews.”

“This is about oppression in general, humanity and what is going on in Palestine with the Zionists,” she said. …

Aminul Km, a 21-year-old CSULB senior, said Ali is not anti-Semitic, and criticizing the state of Israel is not anti-Semitic.

“That side of the group is trying to make him look bad by saying he’s an anti-Semite,” said Km, a member of the Muslim Student Association. Km said the speech raised some important points. “I think it brings the other side of the story to this campus.”

He said Muslims are defending themselves against Israeli aggression. “He’s talking about defending yourself and protecting your life and your property and your values and your honor,” Km said.

Did anybody dance? -- Said after performing the highly, shall we say, evolved "Black Page #2" on "Zappa In New York". (And as you probably already know, this was the song that alerted FZ to the existance of his stunt guitarist to be,Steve Vai, after recieving a sheet music transcription of the song, made by young master Vai.)
