RetweetAhmadinejad: Israel "Cannot Survive," Iran's Enemies Are "Paralyzed"

Thu, Oct 19, 2006 at 3:39:28 pm PDT

Iran’s madman president continues to make his intentions very clear: Iran president says Israel illegitimate, won’t last.

“Our nation has previously announced that this regime is illegitimate from its foundation. It is fabricated. It has been imposed on the nations of the region and it cannot survive,” he said in televised speech at a rally near Teheran.

Ahmadinejad was speaking before Qods Day (Jerusalem Day), the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan when Iranians show support for the Palestinians.

“The existence of this regime (Israel) is the root of many problems of mankind today,” the president said, adding that Israel had been “founded by the major powers in the heart of the Islamic world”.

Ahmadinejad’s comments, which have included describing as a ”myth” the Holocaust in which 6 million Jews were killed by the Nazis, have been condemned in Israel and the West.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in May Iran’s leaders had turned Israel “into a target for annihilation”. Defence Minister Shaul Mofaz said in April Iran’s nuclear programme was the biggest threat to Jews since the Holocaust.

That’s not all. Last weekend, Ahmadinejad told an audience of supporters he has a direct connection to Allah—and that the West is powerless to stop Iran from gaining nuclear weapons.

The reformist daily Aftab-e Yazd reported that Ahmadinejad had said in his address that Iran “must stand firm [in its nuclear policy]; we have one more step, and if we pass that, this [matter] will be attained.”

A few days previously, on October 11, 2006, Ahmadinejad had made similar statements on the nuclear issue, in a speech in the city of Shahriyar:“...The enemies are completely paralyzed, and cannot in any way confront the Iranian people. If our people maintain unity and solidarity, they [i.e. the enemies] must expect a great [Iranian] victory, because we have [only] one step remaining before we attain the summit of nuclear technology.”

In that speech, Ahmadinejad underlined the West’s inability to act: “The enemy will never confront us. An attack on Iran is nonsense.

Contrast this with President Bush, who occasionally mentions that he seeks guidance from God in his daily life.

In his case, he's called a religious zealot Hellbent on imposing religious fundamentalism in all aspects of American life, and prepping concentration camps for those who refuse to follow this.

Am I wrong in thinking that using a nuke on the USA warrants getting a few hundred backatchas?

Israeli U.N. Ambassador Dan Gillerman told the U.N. "We have every reason to believe that the Iranian regime has bribed Khaled Meshaal," he later told reporters. "I cannot divulge the sources or give you any further details on this."

I wrote on this site some time ago that if Pat Robertson - the Religous Fanatic the MSM Loves to Ridicule - announced he was enriching uranium below the 700 Club studios, the MSM and every LLL in this country would lay siege to it, pitchforks in hand, like some Balkan mob chasing the Frankenstein monster.

Yet, when an Islamist shrouds his overt nuclear ambitions in Muslim mysticism, like he does here, or like he did at the U.N. - the MSM would rather talk about Mark Foley and the Democrat tidal wave of victory.

Ahma-ding-dong says he knows this from god?

Not my God: from Genesis . . .

15 God also said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you are no longer to call her Sarai; her name will be Sarah. 16 I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her."

17 Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, "Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?" 18 And Abraham said to God, "If only Ishmael might live under your blessing!"

19 Then God said, "Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. [d] I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. 20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation. 21 But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year." 22 When he had finished speaking with Abraham, God went up from him.

Ahmadinejad is going to make this happen...

Before the appearance of the one who will rise, peace be upon him, the people will be reprimanded for their acts of disobedience by a fire that will appear in the sky and a redness that will cover the sky. It will swallow up Baghdad, and will swallow up Kufa. Their blood will be shed and houses destroyed. Death will occur amid their people and a fear will come over the people of Iraq from which they shall have no rest."

He has said they can bring about the return of the Mahdi...He has said he was chosen for this cause.

The EU is "On Borrowed Time"

This book is about the lead up to World War Two in Europe. It details much that went on in Europe from the rise of Nazism in Germany, thru the secret pact between Germany and the U.S.S.R. to divide Poland, to the beginning of the war itself. It details many of the problems with the governments of Poland, France, and Britian that allowed them to think that agreements with Hitler would be more than the paper they were written on.

Good book. If you can find it.

I think there's a huge difference between asking for God's guidance and claiming that you are directly connected to God, a conduit of His wishes.

Universally, I have found that it is difficult for individuals of the American left to understand this concept.

Let me ask this, why is the left quick to condemn President Bush for praying and asking guidance but quick to embrace someone like Ahmadenijad who believes he's a point man for God?

I just wish lefties would cease all their intellectual dishonesty and speak their truth. They hate George Bush. They hate conservatives. They hate the United States because we rejected European socialism. Instead they cloak their repugnance in sophistry such as George Bush prays; therefore, he's a "nutjob."

It's hard for people on the left to identify nutjobs. It sort of a forest-for-the-trees occlusion.

Bush pledged that the world's most dangerous regimes would not be allowed to threaten us or our interests with the world's most dangerous weapons.

Bush has failed at that pledge.

He has thus failed the central test of his Presidency.

And, sadly, the Islamic Republic "President's" take on his chances seem much more accurate than any predictions coming from the White House these days.

I spent a chunk of the afternoon sitting in front of the History channel while the kiddo was online. By sheer luck they had on two very interesting programs: one about FDRs borderline very illegal actions prior to the US entering the war and one about the first psychological profile ever done - Hitler's.

One of the things that they brought out about Hitler was that he truly believed that he had been set apart by G_d, that he was special - a Messiah if you will. And that was the key thing that made him so very dangerous to the rest of the world.

OPEC to cut production by 1.2 m. barrels a day
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
DOHA, Qatar

The oil cartel OPEC has decided to cut production by 1.2 million barrels a day, the United Arab Emirates' oil minister said Friday.

Mohammed Bin Dhaen al-Hamily made the announcement at a news conference after OPEC's oil ministers held an emergency meeting in the capital of Qatar.

The output cut is aimed at boosting prices, which have declined more than 25 percent since mid-July.

His Presidency is not over yet; he has 25% of it to go.

Your crape-hanging is a mite premature.

It is precisely this sort of failure to look objective reality dead in the eyes that is really beginning to worry me about our movement's future.

Are you not aware of the nuclear test conducted by North Korea? Or our humiliating diplomatic climb-down orchestrated by China and Russia on NK sanctions at the UN Security Council the days after that test?

Are you not aware of the fact that our Secretary of State has said America's number one goal is a Palestinian state and that achieving that is on par with the creation of the American republic?

Are you not aware of the fact that right now, even as I type this, a 13-year old Afghan girl is being held by the US-trained and -funded Afghan police for running away from an arranged marriage with her 50-year old cousin and that she is guarded in part by NATO troops at gun point?

Are you not aware of the President's over-the-top slobbering about Islam as he celebrated Ramadan in the White House?

Have you had your eyes closed for the past four years?

Are you not aware that the Shi'ite fanatic and American-killer al-Sadr is now a member of the Iraqi government and is defended by American soldiers?

Need I go on?

How much of a record of failure would you have to be confronted with before you would begin to suspect that perhaps all is not well with the Bush Presidency?

I feel more and more like Mugatu every day.

Ahmadinejad may be crazy but he's not stupid.

Israel is not the strongest it's ever been. Military readiness has obviously deteriorated, and what can you say about a population that elects a government headed by a jellyfish like Olmert, and openly debates surrendering the Golan to Syria in exchange for nothing?

An attack on Iran will cause oil prices to jump and remain so high that deep economic turmoil in the West will result. That is a fear that keeps the West at bay and allows Iran to keep its bomb program going.

Would Olmert want to be responsible for initiating such a calamity? I doubt it. Would Bush? I wonder.

Advantage Iran.

The West's anti-Muslim campaign
By Shireen M Mazari

As for the resurgence of the Danish cartoons amidst all these other developments, what can one say about this new reflection of fascism except that the Jews have been replaced by the Muslims and that eventually the Muslims of Europe need to organise and fight back before they land up in the twenty-first century equivalent of concentration camps and a new holocaust begins. Within this new oppressive European environment, the demonisation of strong Muslim states is a natural outcome. Coincidentally, two of the targeted states, Pakistan and Turkey, also happen to be the countries of origin of a large amount of the ancestors of the present European Muslims.

[Link: www.rantburg.com...]

This article is worth a read. Not that it gives any new insights to the problem we are confronted it, but to the sheer idiocy of even educated people in Muslim nations such as Pakistan.

Here is another example

Otherwise, why can't Straw and Blair seek to force the white Brits into becoming more modest in their dress so as not to offend the British Muslims whose culture is now part of what makes up the British identity? If the veil is to be banned, perhaps the mini-skirt or bikinis should also suffer the same fate since they give offence to British Muslims.

According to Sun Tzu in his classic book The Art of War , chapter I Laying Plans, paragraphs 3,4,5,6:

The art of war, then, is governed by five constant fctors, to be taken into account in one's deliberations, when seeking to determine the conditions obtaining in the field.
These are: (1) The Moral Law; (2) Heaven; (3) Earth; (4) The Commander; (5) Method and discipline
The Moral Law causes the people to be in complete accord with their ruler, so that they will follow him regardless of their lives, undismayed by any danger.

The mad, but clever Ahmadinejad, continues to announce his goal of wiping Israel off the face of the earth by nuclear genocide -- with his goal barely concealed for the sake of the West -- in order to gain the absolute support of the people, to incite them, like Hitler did, to follow him regardless of their lives and regardless of any danger.

First of all, Ahmadinejad builds upon decades of demonizing Israel in the Muslim world, and wants the people to think of a utopia that will ensue if Israel is destroyed.

Secondly, he buttresses his arguments that a utopia will follow, by his references to the coming of the Mahdi, the 12th imam, when Iran has its nuclear weapons and carries out a nuclear genocide against Israel.

Thirdly, he denies that there will be anything for the people of Iran to worry about, and he denies that the West is capable of causing any pain to Iran, and especially not to the people of Iran. That is so that the people will not consider that Ahmadinejad's path poses any danger, and to lure them into following his path without any thought that their will be danger.

This is all done to build a kind of robotic following of Ahmadinejad's path to nuclear jihad, by imagining a great relief from alleged humiliation due to Israel's existence, by imagining a utopia that will be ushered in by the Mahdi when Israel is destroyed in which Islam will rule the world, and by denying to the Iranian public that there is any danger to Iran by following such a path.

Your touching belief that Bush can solve or prevent all the things you mention--major and minor--is the funhouse-mirror image of the obsessed belief of the BDS sufferers that Bush is personally responsible for all the evil in the world.

If I am not allowed to hold the President to his own stated goals and aspirations, then what, tell me, is the measure I am allowed to use?

In any case, your response is intellectually dishonest and unbecoming of you. You are simply parading insults here (like I care) instead of engaging the argument.

I say that Bush said he would not allow NK to develop nukes and he failed.

I say that Bush said that we would wage war on Islamism and our soldiers are now engaged in enforcing Shari'a by proxy.

I say that Bush said that Iran would not be allowed to develop nukes and, yet, we are now witnessing the verge of nuclear development there.

If you want to debate, drop the insults and debate.

You are free to make all the "politics is hard" excuses you want, as you are free to excuse failure.

So, being President is hard, is it? Who would have guessed it?

As I recall, Bush *asked* for the position and the absolutely huge responsibility that comes with it. I'm sure it's very tough.

So, if you were an Army lieutenant and you fucked up royally during war games would you patiently explain to the Old Man how *hard* it was to exercise your responsibility correctly? Or would you take your lumps and accept responsibility and do whatever it takes--whatever--to correct the situation?

If you don't see how wrong it is to commit American troops in battle in defense of two governments that are imposing Shari'a law and count among their ministers committed Islamist radicals, there is absolutely nothing I could say to convince you otherwise.

I wonder if the dinnerjacket is grooming someone to be the mahadi or if he's really so out of touch that he believes that one will appear?

73 Kohenan The Barbarian  Thu, Oct 19, 2006 4:22:28pm

Psycho Dinnerjacket will rachet up the "Danger" one notch too many with his mesianic babble and trigger a preemptive attack on Iran that will be allout and lethal --there is no room for a wait and see approach should he accomplish fissionable materials--the ensuing ripple affect will terminate the present terror and mayhem bubbling up from all corners of Islam and catapult the war on terror to a speedy conclusion.

In that speech, Ahmadinejad underlined the West’s inability to act: “The enemy will never confront us. An attack on Iran is nonsense.”

We have the DEMS to thank who mae these peopl think that we will not act. This is why they can not be allowed to win, and I don't think they will. When voters enter the booth most will think about the security of the US. I beleive that the mojority of voters will realize that the DEMS do not have a plan except to attack Bush.

Are you Canadian or British?

Am I wrong in thinking that using a nuke on the USA warrants getting a few hundred backatchas?

No sir. They would find that "offensive" and we wouldn't want to do anything to make them seethe. So, no. No retaliation allowed.
