There must be something in the air over there this week. Abbas and Jimmah- perfect together! Just when you think it is not humanly possible for anyone to sink any lower, they prove you wrong.

gee. guess that illusion of moderation in the palestinian government has now been shattered.
oh, wait - you mean the MSM won't report this? because it will rain on their moonbat parade?
American support for a terrorist regime: $10 million
gold for a medal lauding the Sbarro massacre: $3,000
money to buy off Hamas thugs to serve as Jimmah's security: $15,000
In a related story, Liberal Jews ( who for the record I bet have never been in Israel) have started a new political action front to compete with AIPAC which they contend is both dominated by Neocons ( thank-you) and not interested enough in pushing the "road map to peace" forward. They feel Israel is missing the opportunity to negotiate with such a fine chap as Abbas. Pardon me while I spit and cuse!
Complete madness. Terrorists giving terrorists recognition and we have an ex president hugging them. It's like some sort of twisted episode of the twilight zone.
What makes this interesting is that this can't be pushed off on an "offshoot splinter group" or "one of the militias loosely affiliated with Fatah". This is "our" guy. The "good" terrorist.
Gaza is where they sometimes engage in using children as suicide bombers. Now, I don't want to make a big deal out of this, but, how does anyone, whether they are an ex-president or the head of the UN, give these guys praise?
It seems to me, as an interested outside observer, that the modern-day equivalent of Pharaoh is a trifecta of:
1. The Saudi-fellating U.S. State Department.
2. Saudi- and Iranian-backed terrorist groups and their leftist PR fronts.
3. Israel's own government.
I would ask Almighty G-d that these misguided idiots and/or spawn of Amalek be brought to justice in a swift, stunning, and spectacular manner. Preferably in a way that leaves very little doubt about the origins or meaning of the justice-bringing... Know what I mean?
So, will the terrorists wear 'em on their salad plates and will they get excoriated for wearing too much bling when they appear before Azmodeus at the annual terrorist roast?
Someone has to say it.Thanks President Bush and Condi. Thanks for lending these morons an air of legitimacy.
I am not particularly thrilled some of the things The President and Condi have said about Fatah, but unfortunately they had legitimacy in the eyes of the world long before Bush. I contribute some of it to anti-semitic thought but most of it to lazy intellectual mush.
The PA has a medal? Kind of like the ones Idi Amin used to sport? Pathetic.
Seriously - how can a non-country have medals of honor? Although I do find it slightly amusing that taking down a pizzeria is considered heroic in their "culture". No wonder they get pasted in the increasingly rare instances they try to take on the Israelis in a straight fight.
True heroes in the USA get medals for saving their buddies by jumping on grenades. Asswipes in Gaza get medals for killing people by being grenades. What kind of backwards ass fuckheads are these people?
Ahlam Tamimi, a Hamas affiliate serving a life sentence for driving the suicide bomber who exploded himself in the Sbarro restaurant in Jerusalem, killing at least half a dozen people, including a whole family and Amra Muna, who seduced Ophir Rahum over the Internet and then lured him to Ramallah where he was murdered, will both be awarded the medal.
True heroes in the USA get medals for saving their buddies by jumping on grenades. Asswipes in Gaza get medals for killing people by being grenades. What kind of backwards ass fuckheads are these people?
Personally I think "backwards ass fucks" flows of the tongue better, but why quibble?

Followers of Mohammed's literal example.
May calamity be upon the heads of false prohpets and their rabid followers everywhere.
Typical BBC headline ... and skewed reporting: Hamas ambush IDF soldiers, kill trhee, and its of course Israel who should enver ever even think of retaliating ... and killing a Reuters cameraman, too.
What's the chance we can revoke Jimmah's visa? If he loves those bastards so much he can stay there. Better yet, revoke his citizenship. It's better than what happened to Benedict Arnold.
You know, when examining peoples' motives for what they do, I think too often we choose to label them stupid rather than evil. Stupid is somehow easier to swallow.
I am talking about Condi and the Americans that support this barbaric "peace process". I cannot bring myself to believe they are this patently stupid, so they must be evil.
You almost wonder what's next... does the White House start to bleat about the urgent need for independence for Chechnya?
And how about independence for the Uighurs in Western China?
And then independence for Kashmiris in disputed Kashmir, followed by independence for Southern Thailand or the Southern Philippines?
How about a breakaway Muslim republic of New Jersey? Should they get independence, too?
Well I don't know about all the others, but since I live in NJ- hell give it to them. I'll move. Let them fix the roads, the school systems, and pick up the garbage. Their doing such a fine job in Gaza.

That was an ex president who was FIRED by the American people for gross incompetence in the face of terrorists.
Not surprisingly, JDhimmy Carter is fonder of them than of those who FIRED him.

I don't notice them giving the Kurds any independence. I don't think it has to do with independence for anyone, least of all the palestinians. All this crap has to do with reining in Israel and putting Israel into a position where the next time the entire muslim world comes to push them all into the sea that is just what will happen.
I don't know why Washington has sold Israel down the tubes, but it has been obvious that they have for a couple of years now. We're just watching a show. And I, for one, find it infuriating.
You know, when examining peoples' motives for what they do, I think too often we choose to label them stupid rather than evil. Stupid is somehow easier to swallow.

God help us.
Exactly. I am sorely afraid that when we want to try to understand the motives and actions that led to the Holocaust, all we really need to do is look around us at all the people doing their darndest to make sure that Israel "goes along to get along."
I know you banned Carter from getting another Fiskie because he won it previously (it's in the Fiskie rules). I think his latest exhortations and actions qualify for a review of that policy.
A judge has declared a mistrial in the retrial of six men accused of plotting terrorist acts with al Qaeda.
The decision comes after 13 days of deliberation and marks the second time government prosecutors have failed to convince a jury that the six defendants were guilty of terror-related charges.
It is unclear whether the government will pursue a third trial against the defendants.

Criticizing Jimmy's actions is a sin?
He really believes this.
It's not just condescension.
I see the hand of Stan.
In all of the masses I have sat through, I really can't remember a single priest who spouted "God Damn America" or ranted about how bad this country is. The closest I ever heard was that of a priest whose homily was that there are people in the world who are trying to destroy Christianity and the Judeo-Christian theology. The People were nameless.
I hope the Pope says a public prayer for Bill Maher. that would be such a crushing reply.

Since Jimmy Carter has already won one, perhaps this one could go to Dhimmi Carter.
I'm sure Abbas would love my take on what Carter would propose for a peace plan. Reprinted from yesterday, but I think it is worth a reprint:
Carter, Mashaal Announce Plan for Mideast Peace
Damascus. (CNN – Caliphate-Nazi News)
Former President Jimmy Carter and Hamas Leader Khaled Mashaal announced the final solution for Mideast peace. Hamas and Syria have agreed to recognize the state of Israel, after Carter's plan is put into motion.
The plan involves the Israeli government being taken over by the UN and the US State Department. “This is the culmination of all the years of my presidency,” the Nobel Peace Prize winner Carter said. “We all agree the problem that is preventing peace in the Mideast is that Israel is run by Jews; therefore, by replacing their government with one that is willing to understand the concerns of their neighbors, there will be peace.”
The Jews will still have rights to a homeland, but they will be concentrated in the Negev. “The Jews were able to make the desert bloom, so they should be quite comfortable in the camps that will be constructed there,” said former President Carter.
Reaction from world leaders was strong approval.
US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice said “I salute former President Carter for his effort, and look forward to my new position as Prime Minister of Israel.” She then left just as the Israeli press arrived, having been forced to enter through the back door.
Barack Obama cheered the result. “I have known for 20 years that a solution like this was needed; finally there will be peace. I have offered former President Carter the position of Secretary of State, when I win the election.” He also said that he would now go under the name B. Hussein Obama.
Hillary Clinton also praised the deal but said “I had almost negotiated this deal, while under rocket fire, but the signed papers disappeared when I went to ask Bill about a stained blue burkha that I found under the desk in the meeting tent.”
John McCain, the Republican nominee for President, said something different, showing he is out of touch with world opinion.
“The UN, the Ummah of Nations, strongly supports this peace treaty.” Secretary General Ban Ki-Moonbat also said, “We have already recognized Mahmoud Abbas as the Israeli ambassador to the UN, and he will be moving in 'as soon as the stench is gone' from the rooms formerly occupied by Jews.”
The president of Iran, Ahmadinejad, said “We welcome this development, but we will not cease in our peaceful nuclear program as long as a single Jew remains alive.”
Hugo Chavez, president of Venezuela, also praised the accord. “Venezuela is pleased the world has come to understand the problems of our world. We have started rounding up Venezuelan Jews to send them to the new camps in Israel.”
The Saudi Arabian government issued a statement that “In honor of these historic accords, we will call for a 'free gas' day once they are implemented. We will even give Jews free gas, but of a very special kind.”
During WW2, in the death camps this type of Jews were known as 'capos'. When the allies liberated the camps, many of the capos were literally torn limb from limb by the nazi's surviving victims. They paid a high price for selling out their people. re: #27 Nevergiveup

Anyone here remember Djhimmah's answer to a question during a presidential debates about what was foremost in his daughter Amy's thoughts? DJhimmah said little Amy was worried most about nuclear weapons in the world.
Isn't it ironic Iran has nukes BECAUSE of DJhimmah's failure as a president?
Anybody who watchd that, and thinks he's a just nice fluffy old guy, has another think coming ...

Lucky you, I'll have to read Rottweiler Pope Ratzy's speech or catch later... Gut Yontiff to the Pontiff, as Ben Hur explained yesterday, means good holiday. And it IS the Pope's 81st birthday. What a great Veteran he is, still serving honorably.

I'm thinking along the lines of the first Fiskie Lifetime Achievement Award receipient.
The Fiskie is the Cy Young award, but this is the Hall of Fame.
Three Israeli soldiers and 17 Palestinians, one a cameraman for an international news agency, were killed on Wednesday as troops backed by helicopters stormed into the Gaza Strip.
Fadel Shana, 23, a Reuters cameraman, was critically wounded when a missile hit his vehicle in the central Gaza Strip. He died after being taken to hospital, Dr Muawiya Hassanein, the head of Gaza emergency services, told AFP.
An AFP photographer driving behind the Reuters jeep, which had TV and press stickers plastered across its doors and roof, said the vehicle burst into flames after a missile slammed into it.
When a group of photographers rushed to try to rescue their colleague a second missile struck the area, he said.
Two more people were killed in the air strike, medics said. Their identities were not immediately known.
Bush and Rice are no less despicable then Carter. Maybe more so.
Carter hugs terrorists. Encourages them. Propagandizes against Israel. He would do worse but he has no power.
Bush and Rice have the power.
Bush and Rice arm them, train them, fund them and support them in their aims to destroy Israel.
The Israeli leaders who go along are insane and corrupt.

Face it, there's plenty Americans who mistakenly think PEACE is achieveable through dhjimmitude. Many Americans demand their leaders aim for peace through peace-talks with your enemy.
I am not one of them. Call me war mongering and unsympathetic to terrorists. I am a minority however.
As noted in our first post about the Reuters vehicle purportedly hit by an Israeli missile (or two Israeli missiles, depending on which news service you read), the wire services were playing games with the identity of the “news agency” that employed Sabbah Hmaida, injured in the incident along with Reuters cameraman Fadel Shana.
Hmaida (alternate spelling: Sabah Hemeida) was reported to be working for: 1) a local news web site, 2) an Arabic network, 3) Palestinian Media Group, and 4) Dubai TV.
I wrote at the time, “I detect the scent of fish.”
Today, Caroline Glick reveals in her column that this “local journalist” actually worked for ... wait for it ... the Iranian World TV network:
But this is perfect! Abbas is just awarding the highest valor that Palestinians can aspire to short of the Nobel Peace Prise. You have to survive your mass murder victims to win that one. Palestinains generally aren't up to that.
The Sbarro's bombing is Palestinianism at it height. It's what they all want. Israel should help them along the way. Blow up as many of them as possible, as quickly as possible.
It is all part of the Peace Process. There will never be Peace unless enough Palestinians are blown up. Israel is slacking.
Nope - that would give them the Cradle of Liberty, the USS Constitution and put them much too close to me. Death Valley is good. Just the environment they are used to and all those loons in California won't mind having them as neighbors.
You have to admit it would be pretty hilarious.
All the moonbats in Massachusetts who want the Palis to have a state.....
so we let them have theirs.

True. But when Bush ran for re-election in 2004, when many of us trusted him, he specifically ran against Kerry's Dhimmi views.
So he is not just an appeaser. He is a fraud and a liar.
Worse. He may be the only American President ever- past or future- to send Americans to war to fight the same sort of evil he simultaneously then supports.
I think he will only do that if he is convinced the Dems are about to strip him of his seniority and chair of the Homeland Security Committee. We'll see We'll see.
Good heavens! He got killed AGAIN? How many times can one cameraman get hit by the IDF? And why, oh why, pray tell does he always seem to be at the wrong place at just the time to get in the way of an IDF strike. I wonder if he is actually himself a terrorist pretending to be a journalist. . . . . . hMMMM.
You are not privy to what Bush has to do to keep the world from full on war. When you know all the little things and big things that are necessary to ease world tensions, then you might actually know something.

Half the electorate DEMANDS climate change action INSTEAD of beating terrorists, what's a president to do?
We can do guns & butter so libs won't be bitter.
It's typical. Just as more evidence surfaces that the data is all wrong and as leading scientific advocates of global warming are admitting they may have been wrong, the President jumps on the bandwagon as it is backing up. Go Figure?

Of course not.

America needs you
Harry Truman
Harry could you please come home
Things are looking bad
I know you would be mad
To see your favorite men
Prevail upon the land you love
Americas wondering
How we got here
Harry all we get is lies
Were gettin' safer cars
Rocket ships to mars
From men who'd sell us out
To get themselves a piece of power
Wed love to hear you speak your mind
In plain and simple ways
Call a spade a spade
Like you did back in the days
You would play piano
Each morning walk a mile
Speak of what was going down
With honesty and style
Americas calling
Harry Truman
Harry you know what to do
The world is turnin' round and losin' lots of ground
Oh harry is there something we can do to save the land we love
Americas calling
Harry Truman
Harry you know what to do
The world is turnin' round
And losin' lots of ground
Harry is there something we can do to save the land we love

Yes, the earth-centric treehuggers also VOTE! Teddy Roosevelt the republican president preserved parks for posterity, so presidents do have a responsibility to care.
We are not chinese polluting proletariats after all. WE fought the Vietnam War & sent astronauts to walk on the moon at the same time, while funding Johnson's Great Society.
Our country just has to WIN the global war this time, and let moonbats contribute as they can--tree hugging, water cleaning, while they pop more pills & consume more energy & chemicals than any people in history!
I call bullshit. The prior pic has a picture of Shana and says
Reuters cameraman Fadel Shana looks out of the window at the Reuters office in Gaza City April 4, 2006. Shana, 23, and two other Palestinian civilians were killed on April 16, 2008, in what local residents said was an Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip.
A medic tries to lift a body of a Palestinian boy as the body of Fadel Shana, a 23-year-old Palestinian cameraman for the Reuters news agency lies on the ground at right
Tanks have incredible muzzel blast. I've witnessed this myself from M-60s. I doubt it was a missile. He caught the shell fired at his position. He'd have been smarter to duck and cover.
Israel struck hard against targets in Gaza on Wednesday, killing at least 20 Palestinians in a day of heavy fighting that also saw three Israeli soldiers killed in a brazen Hamas ambush.
And our former President is talking with these animals.
re: #213 opinionated
When you are POTUS, then you can do it your way. The US has to sleep with many devils (and has throughout it's history) to keep World Peace.
Reuters cameraman Fadel Shana films in Rafah camp in the southern Gaza Strip in this February 4, 2008 file photo. A Reuters cameraman was killed in the Gaza Strip on April 16, 2008 in what appeared to have been an Israeli military strike. Shana, a 23-year-old Palestinian, was covering violence in the enclave for the international news agency. Two bystanders were also killed in an explosion after Shana stepped from his vehicle. His soundman escaped serious injury. Film from Shana's camera showed an Israeli tank stationed several hundred metres (yards) away firing a shell. The film then went blank, apparently at the moment Shana was hit. Earlier, local residents had said the explosion appeared to have been caused by an air strike
As for the air-strike, tank-fire contradiction, when anything happens in Gaza, the residents swear it was an air strike. In some cases when it turned out to be a mine, or a "work accident."
Reports claim it was a tank who hit the vehicle. Others say it was an airstrike and a missile hit it.
Israeli tanks don't fire missiles - they fire tank rounds. Fact check?
Also, who else was in the immediate vicinity of the Reuters vehicle when it was struck? Was the photographer accompanying Hamas on one of their agitprop parades when Israel went hot with weapons?
Israel took out a bunch of Palestinian terrorists today, and many were operating in close quarters with civilians - on purpose no less since the terrorists will purposefully shield themselves with civilians to maximize the body count to blame Israel.
I know you banned Carter from getting another Fiskie because he won it previously (it's in the Fiskie rules). I think his latest exhortations and actions qualify for a review of that policy.
I vote for a special Lifetime Achievment Fiskie for Dhimmi Cahtah.

screw Reuters! Hasn't it been them with photoshopped photos of Bagdad That had added smoke? Or was it the Twin Towers? Oh, well, I know their credibility is nill!
Bush's denial of reality when it comes to the Fakestinians is getting pretty expensive in lives and treasure.
State isn't autonomous, you are correct of course. Although I bet they would love to be. Suspect that most of the NYT's scoops come from the lifers at State.
It makes me sad to see Rice sign her name to such ridiculous policies. I had higher hopes for her.
A video grab shows the last frame of Reuters cameraman Fadel Shana before he was fatally wounded by an Israeli shell whilst working in the Gaza Strip April 16, 2008. Shana, a 23-year-old Palestinian, died after he stepped from his vehicle, apparently to film Israeli forces positioned several hundred metres (yards) away.
If it's a bunker, then it might not have been the Israelis at all - since they're not operating from fixed positions in Gaza. I'd love to get a closeup of that area in the two photos provided to see if it was indeed a tank that opened fire and not a Hamas spray and pray team.
We need a bigger picture. That sure does not look like any tank profile to me, especially not the frontal view it would have to be to be firing towards the photographer two frames later.
screw Reuters! Hasn't it been them with photoshopped photos of Bagdad That had added smoke? Or was it the Twin Towers? Oh, well, I know their credibility is nill!

Those 3 pictures - they were 6, 8, and 10 but more pictures have been added so now the numbers have changed - were NOT all taken by the same cameraman at the same time from the same position. Look at the difference in how close/far away the white building in the center of the picture is.
The "moderates" of Islam have their work cut out for them convincing the Islamists among them to cut it out. I hope they aren't holding their breath waiting for the opportunity for a new softer public image. Waiting ain't gonna change anything.

Sometimes the most interesting action isn't what's caught on the camera, but what's going on behind the cameraman. I want to know what the other folks in that contingent were doing before they got hit by incoming fire.

No, there is fighting in the World, but there is not all nations involved and there are not bombs falling on our heads on a daily basis.
We do not know the delicate balance that is necessary to keep billions of muslims from taking up arms against us. It is my prayer that no Jews lose their lives, as it is my prayer that no American Soldier loses his/her life in defending our freedoms. But we can not sit in front of computer screens and pretend that we know what is needed to keep the World from full on war. We can complain but that does no one any good. You can exercise your right and vote for the candidate you believe will do your will, but don't count on it happening just the way you HOPE it will.
Do not mislead the readers with your projections of what I have written.
I am very much Pro Israel but I am also know that we don't know all of what is necessary to protect the lives of our allies.

Another clue.....
Is the white building on the right in this pic the same as the center building here? It looks like a different angle of the same location. If so, that means the Palestinians were firing mortars at that position. Fadel was there, spotting or just hoping to record a hit.
It used to be FOX News was the only organization that Obama refused to talk with.
Today Barack added Hamas to this list.
His church is against Israel. His father figure pastor is against Israel. His church's "man of the year" is against Israel. His close friends are against Israel.
But, today Barack Obama spoke out in support of Israel and condemned Jimmy Carter for meeting with Hamas.
YNET News reported:
Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama on Wednesday disagreed with former President Jimmy Carter's overtures toward Hamas, saying he would not talk to the Islamist group until it recognized Israel and renounced terrorism.
The Illinois senator, campaigning in Pennsylvania which holds the next presidential voting contest on Tuesday, told a group of Jewish leaders he has an "unshakable commitment" to help protect Israel from its "bitter enemies."
"That's why I have a fundamental difference with President Carter and disagree with his decision to meet with Hamas," Obama said. "We must not negotiate with a terrorist group intent on Israel's destruction. We should only sit down with Hamas if they renounce terrorism, recognize Israel's right to exist and abide by past agreements."
"Hamas is not a state. Hamas is a terrorist organization," he said.

I would buy that as a different angle on the same area.
We need a bigger picture. That sure does not look like any tank profile to me, especially not the frontal view it would have to be to be firing towards the photographer two frames later.
I know most of the profiles & views of almost every AFV ever fielded (military history and WWII nut since I was 12), and that does look like the front of a modern tank, with some real foliage for camoflage starting at the hull, and going up past the turret in a conical shape.
And another clue: What's up with these two guys? They claim they were wounded in the same attack. But here they are from a different angle. You can see Fadel's car in the background. Firefighters and medics arrive and put out the fire already. That should take about 20-30 minutes at best but they're still there lounging in the road.

yeah, but look at the "muzzle flash" in one photo. I've been around tanks since I was 18, and I've NVER seen that, and a Merkava has flash suppression...

Whose modern tank? Here is a picture of the current Israeli tank - [Link: news.yahoo.com...]
Doesn't look much like that shape to me, with or without foliage.
I imagine that to a tanker on alert a shoulder held camera can look a lot like a shoulder fired weapon, and vice versa.
That there probably were a few of each in the little group didn't help.
Best to shoot first to be sure, IMHO.
Exactly, from KT #350, we've got active contact. Guy hops out of car, put something on his shoulder at points it at the tank, the TC sees this and thinks, OH RUCK MISSILE CREW. And eliminates the threat.
JERUSALEM – For at least the fourth time in recent months, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice referred to the Hamas terrorist organization as a "resistance" movement during unscripted remarks with reporters, WND has learned.
This time, Rice was giving a free-ranging interview two weeks ago with the Washington Times when a reporter asked her about the wisdom of encouraging democracy in countries where radical Islamists could win elections, pointing as an example to Hamas, which won Palestinian elections two years ago.
Rice replied: "It's, I would say, still a story-in-progress on Hamas, in particular, because I think there's plenty of evidence now that one reason that Hamas went back to their bad old ways and took over the Gaza and overthrew the legitimate Palestinian Authority institutions is that actually they were failing at governance, and it's easier to be a resistance movement than to be a governing movement."

I have a picture of that kind of flash, but it is coming out the ass end of a TOW.

The guy with his arms under his head in the first picture doesn't look very wounded to me. Sunbathing perhaps.

I don't know and no one else knows that answer either.
Zechariah 12:2Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

What? No hug and kiss from Jimmah and Roslyn? I guess these terrorists did not kill enough innocent people. The Carters only honor mass murderers like Arafat. *spit*

It could be the Merkava's defensive "dreadlocks."
Chains hung all around the tank that would detonate an anit-tank missile before impacting on the armor.

check out desert storm footage and the like, you'll see muzzle flashes like that all the time. no question WWII through Viet Nam era tanks had such flashes upon firing. as for the specific tank you cite, I am not aversed in it's tech sheet enough to know re the muzzle flash suppression. I'll take your word for it. :)

Desert Storm was a long, long time ago. Check out some of the footage from when we went into Iraq. Tiny little muzzle flash, not a humongous fireball.
I thought the same thing. I'll bet it's a nice spring day in Gaza. It's also worth noting that those guys are prime fighting age. Could they have been the nearby mortar squad?

well, it's a small photo, that is for sure. in my opinion, it looks like a tank. we can agree to disagree on it, for sure. :) I could be wrong, no one is perfect.
Israeli tankers are good and it doesn't make sense to me that you would be sitting on top of a ridge line screaming look at me waiting for RPGs or worse to come downrange at you.

I might buy that. I've got to tell you, I've done my time on ER duty. If I was doing triage on those two I would keep right on walking to the next one in line. The first one especially is far too composed to be injured.
screw Reuters! Hasn't it been them with photoshopped photos of Bagdad That had added smoke? Or was it the Twin Towers? Oh, well, I know their credibility is nill!

And notice how in that first photo the huge red spot which loks like blood is actually a bag in the second ... someone not paying attention here, bad stage management, methinks.

Missile crew in a deuce and a half? Does the IDF patrol in trucks with launchers?
Stray thought, the camera was HD wide screen, converting squeezes the aspect ration and exaggerates the vertical.

Tankers like to be hull down and just the gun peering over the ridge.

it's actually in a sound firing position, if it indeed was engaging targets towards where the camera is (in that general direction). also, it's just a little past the perfect spot for a hull-down position, which all tankers are trained to achieve when possible.

What you cannot explain away by that theory, though, is that in all three pictures that show the white building from the same angle, supposedly taken by the guy's camera, the building is in a different place. And none of them are just enough different to be explained by his simply getting out of the car.

good point. would make the profile look taller than it really was/is. I doubt the IDF tools around in a soft-target truck. would be crazy in enemy territory.
