My money will always be on Ms. Ingraham.
It is sort of unfair, though - battle of wits with an unarmed man.

Seriously, though, it makes me sick that our military has to listen to this kind of stuff day in and day out from this creep. Just turns my stomach.
And a TV reporter telling the President to shut the hell up? Can you imagine someone saying that type of thing to Hillary or Obama if they become POTUS, and not getting fired? Heck, they'd be charged with hate-speech and put on trial!

I used to despise Olbermann until it dawned on me the man in all likelihood has no real political beliefs, this is all just a career move for him. If the paycheck was the right size, he would gleefully say things that would make Michael Savage blush. Which makes him all the more contemptible.

Olbermann is an idiot, no doubt. But what makes you guys so sure he was really talking about the troops? Or maybe he was just calling the "bad" troops "cold blooded killers," the ones who were convicted of wrongdoing? I am not trying to defend, Olbermann, because I almost want to vomit when I simply write his name, but I'm just saying maybe Ingraham is using the straw man arguement technique.

While we're on the subject of the troops:
I have no idea what the "psychologist" at the VA in Texas was thinking when she sent an email apparently discouraging the use of "PTSD" as a diagnosis. However, I do know that VA services all over the country have been making PTSD the automatic "diagnosis" for every vet they can get their hands on. I work in the disability profession. Recently I found a 43 year old whom VA had qualified as 100% disabled based on his self-reported PTSD from Vietnam. He is 43 years old and he was @ 10 years old when the war ended, but did the bureaucrats at VA manage to figure that out? Another guy had gotten VA to buy him a van with hand controls because he said he had "conversion disorder" and his legs were paralyzed. He had a wreck driving his sports car and hospital records showed he was walking just fine. As long as the vets put up with this garbage, it's going to continue. Anyone who thinks that VA employees have any concern whatsoever about saving money is nuts. The only thing bureaucrats worry about is keeping themselves out of trouble and not rocking the boat. The psychologist in question clearly hadn't gotten the memo: Just keep shoveling taxpayer money at voters. I suspect she might have just been asking people to be sure that the diagnostic criteria for PTSD actually apply. This would include checking the vets records to see if they really were ever in combat. Remember Jesse MacBeth the fake soldier who took part in all those protests? He not only had never participated in the "war crimes" he "reported" but he also never got out of basic. Every vet ought to read Stolen Valor and be as angry as hell that the bottom-feeders are getting away with crap. The media can't decide whether to portray vets as victims or mercenaries. You can bet anytime there is a story like this it's designed to do one or the other. This one not only tries to show that there's not enough money to care for our heroes, the eeeevil Bush regime has hired heartless professionals to screw deserving pathetic victims of the eeeevil Bush war out of their well-deserved benefits. Don't believe it. Given a choice between throwing millions of tax dollars at a problem or getting a single nasty phone call from the news media, most any bureaucrat in the country will grab a shovel and the money flows out as fast as he can throw it. After all, it's not their. It's taxpayer money, so who gives a damn? My dad and all 6 of my uncles were in the military, including 2 career servicemen. My uncle-n-law died at Iwo Jima. The VA travesty makes me sick.

Much as it pains me to say it, I think Laura gets this one at least partially wrong. I've listened to and read the rants of the L3eft for the entirety of the Bush administration. The vast majority of the time, when they whine and moan about war criminals and cold blooded killers, they're referencing the "neo-con cabal" of Wolfowitz and Cheny, Haliburton and Rove. They are conspiracists who think much more grandly and fantastically than to merely blame those "poor, deceived boys and girls" of the armed forces.

Ms. Rawmuse works for the VA, but not in psych.
The VA will diagnose as much PTSD as possible, because they use the numbers to increase funding.
The sad part is that with PTSD, there are some claims mixed in with bogus ones. But, what is to be done? It's not like you can look at it with an x-ray.

Yeah, I can see how you can conclude that he was talking about the troops, but you can also conclude he was talking about other people or groups of people. Olbermann was way outta line by saying what he said, it was disgusting to even listen to him, he's dead wrong on pretty much every issue, but I don't think he really meant that all of the troops are "cold blooded killers." I think Ingraham claimed that Olbermann implied that about the troops to inflame the audience so she would have an even more interesting conversation on the air. She reminds me a lot of Ann Coulter actually. I believe Ann Coulter will say anything to sell her book, for instance.
Ingraham could have slammed Olbermann even without implying that he implied that the troops are killers.

I think Ingraham nailed it when she said this latest Olby meltdown may have been sparked by his getting passed over to replace Conan O'Brien on the Late Show. They probably told his agent that Olby was damaged goods and way too politically bent to ever get a comedy gig so fuhgetabout.
Really, at this point, he has given up any hope of attracting new viewers or changing any minds and all he is doing is preaching to the choir with his bombastic tirades. Hes a nutjob with no future in the business outside the little box he crawled into.

Everyone -
Apart from working for MSNBC, Laura Ingraham clerked for Justice Thomas, and worked for CBS. In a "fair world" - she would be sitting in the Anchor Chair currently occupied by "Perky Katie," would probably be a success, and making MONEY for CBS, a concept that CBS has seemed to have forgotten. That is all and QUITE ENOUGH!

Based upon MSNBC's ratings, I suppose Olbermann is simply trying to get someone to notice him and his network. More people probably heard Olberman clips on Laura's radio show in one day than actually watch his show in a month.

I still don't buy it. These accusations are ludacrous and libelous just the same and they STILL fall on the troops. Unless they believe that George Bush and Dick Cheney physically went over to Iraq and took a gantling gun or 50 caliber machine gun and lined up and shot hundreds of thousands of "innocent" Iraqis (An impossible scenario), then that only leads our troops to blame. When these idiots call Bush and Cheney murderers, then want to heap sympathy on our troops for being forced to fight an "illegal" war, I find it incredibly hypocritical. Calling Bush and Cheney murderers is the exact same thing as calling our troops cold blooded killers. Because it is the troops who are in Iraq with the M-16s and high-tech weapons, not Bush and Cheney.
