Kucinich's Latest Impeachment Stunt

Tue, Jun 10, 2008 at 9:11:34 am PDT

Dennis “UFO” Kucinich continues cynically pandering to the loony left, with another legally meaningless move to impeach President Bush.

(The Politico) Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush on Monday night, reading the resolution into the Congressional Record.

Kucinich, who unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination this year, unveiled a litany of alleged illegal and improper acts by Bush, including war crimes.

Kucinich has introduced a similar impeachment resolution against Vice President Cheney. That resolution was referred to the House Judiciary Committee, which has taken no action on the measure. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and other top House Democratic leaders have stated that there will be no consideration of impeachment proceedings against Bush, calling the idea “off the table.”

And he keeps getting re-elected. Gee the people in his district must be amongst the stupidest in the nation. Not that the people in Ron Paul's district couldn't give them a run for their money.

It hasn't caught fire in about 40 years or so.

Little tool troll needs to take some of that advice Clint Eastwood gave to Spike.

12 Kragar (Proud to be Kafir)  Tue, Jun 10, 2008 9:14:36am

Funny thing is, I can imagine Denny K getting up next year to propose the same thing and then some one telling him Bush is gone and he'll end up looking like someone killed his puppy and he runs out crying.

Plus, you can thank post 1028 from the last thread.

Heh. Even the LLL thinks Kucinich is daft.

This coming from the Democrat controlled Congress, who in one year and a half, have managed to do nothing except ban the 100w light bulb by 2014.

Democrats, the real meaning of do-nothing!

29 Athos  Tue, Jun 10, 2008 9:17:08am

I have a better idea....what if America impeaches the House - the same House that effectively did nothing since Dec 2006 except vote 50+ times to deny funding for our troops deployed in a war, provide aid and comfort to our enemies, and work to try to stop a change in leadership and tactics that turned around the Iraqi battlefront.

30 lawhawk  Tue, Jun 10, 2008 9:17:24am

You do realize that the more frequently Kucinich tries this stunt, the less opportunities the Demcrats have of portraying themselves as a party of moderates and aren't out to investigate and criminalize policy disputes.

Kucinich is doing nothing more than attempting to criminalize a policy dispute, and one in which the evidence actually supports the Administration, not the L3. Heck, Sen. Rockefeller's latest railing against the Administration had to admit that the Administration was not massaging data and came to the conclusions without gaming the system.

Of course, that all falls on deaf ears of the left. It also does nothing to show what the Left would do with the situation now.

They're stuck on 2003, and not on the situation in Iraq now, what would happen going forward, or anything else relevant to US national security going forward.

It's a troubling theme, and it only gets worse every time a Democrat opens their yapper.

There are many embarrassing districts.

Pelosi's, Ellison's, and, closer to home for me, Sheila Jackson Lee and Henry Cuellar.

47 DoubleU  Tue, Jun 10, 2008 9:40:42am

The first time he tried this:

“I do not stand alone,” Dennis Kucinich said as he stood, alone, in front of a cluster of microphones yesterday evening.

[Link: www.sondrak.com...]

You know, I just want to be done with Bush, but the left seems to love this guy, loves to hear his name and wants to see more of him.

58 uptight  Tue, Jun 10, 2008 12:13:34pm

I'd love to see a blogger work out how much taxpayers money and (tax funded) hours Kucinich has wasted with these stunts.

They could then work out how many homeless people could have been housed, African children could have been fed or hospital treatments given to the poor instead of indulging Kucinich's ego.
