Jesse Jackson Conveyed Hizballah Propaganda to Murdered Soldiers' Families

Sat, Jul 19, 2008 at 3:37:18 pm PDT

News from the past:

In August 2006 Jesse Jackson went to Lebanon, had meetings with the terrorist group Hizballah, then stopped over in Israel to tell the families of those two IDF soldiers whose mutilated bodies were returned to Israel last week that their loved ones were still alive.

The families of the kidnapped Israel Defense Forces soldiers met with Reverend Jesse Jackson Wednesday at the Ben Gurion Airport and heard from him information he obtained from sources in Lebanon, that Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were alive.

Jackson said he could not go into details of the conversations, but that he heard optimism on the condition of the soldiers being held captive. The families of the soldiers sought more solid and based information.

Jackson said he met the Hizbullah leadership in Lebanon, and that the soldiers were not killed in the (kidnapping) operation. He said he committed himself to not going into details of the conversation.

I think the point of the Hezbollah propaganda to Jesse Jackson was to raise false hope with the family putting them on edge for years with false hope that their loved ones were still alive. When they were actually dead.

The families of the soldiers sought more solid and based information.

A good idea when the information comes from Jesse.

Why would anybody meet with Jesse Jackson? I guess desperate grieving people will do desperate things. Shame on him for giving them false hope.

No, he was in Lebanon at the time and this was shortly after the war that occurred. The trip had nothing to do with Palestine but rather "relations between Lebanon and Israel".

33 wolfie  Sat, Jul 19, 2008 3:47:53pm

Blame the MSM.
Jesse Jackson does not hold any elective office.
He isn't an ambassador or a UN official.
No one ever voted for him to be "black spokeman" or international "peace pigeon."

There is no more reason to report on what Jesse Jackson says and does than there is to report on what Jimmy Ray Epperley says and does.
Actually, JRE (the guy who lives in that trailer down the road from us) is a hell of a lot sharper than Jesse............and twice as decent.

Lets see if anyone in the media, be it liberal or conservative, has the balls to say to "Reverend' Jackson.

Mr. Jackson. In August 2006 you assured the families that these soldiers were alive and well. Now that they have been returned very dead, are you willing to call Hizbullah cold blooded murderes. If they were dead on August 2006, are you willing to call the Hizbullah leadership cold blodded LIARS, as it was them that "assured" you that the soldiers were alove and well?"

LOL McCain in KC today hinted that Obama might be a Socialist, since he votes to the left of the one avowed Socialist in the Senate. Here's the Obambi campaign's reply:

In an emailed statement, Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said, “This attack is straight out of the Bush-Rove playbook, and is exactly what the American people are tired of. Instead of making false, divisive attacks, Senator Obama is working to bring our country together to meet the challenges we face as a nation.”

Obama's bid to deliver one of his substance-free orations at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin has infuriated Chancellor Merkel, galvanised the media and provoked thoughtful calculations among the McCain camp. Every Republican knows it cannot be long before Icarus soars too close to the sun. The question is: will he crash and burn before or after the presidential election? Next week's European tour is a possible occasion for the gaffe that will turn the election around.

Iran may be an existential threat to Israel, but no more so than Israel's own policies of appeasement by which they are encouraging (and probably guaranteeing) the next war with Hizb'allah. Although Hizb'allah is no match for an unleashed Israeli military, the problem is that the IDF will be on a leash (a very short one) courtesy of their own fifth column on the left--made up of the same kinds of Marxist tools/fools that continue to undermine the US war effort in Iraq. Unfortunately for Israel, they don't have the same room for error that we have.

re: #75 Steffan

Jesse Jackson is a grifter and an attention whore. His only job skill, besides demagoguery, is blackmailing corporations into giving him money.

The main reason he's down on Obama is that Obama doesn't owe him anything -- Obama got where he is without Jackson's help.

I think Jesse's also furious because Obama got where he is with the help of people that Jesse was leaning on for years to help him.

89 Tigger2005  Sat, Jul 19, 2008 4:22:56pm
In an emailed statement, Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said, “This attack is straight out of the Bush-Rove playbook, and is exactly what the American people are tired of. Instead of making false, divisive attacks, Senator Obama is working to bring our country together to meet the challenges we face as a nation.”

What I find most absurd about this statement is: It's a freaking election campaign. McCain and Obama are running against each other. It's not their job to "bring the country together" at this point...it's to tell the American people why we should vote for them and why we shouldn't vote for the other guy. It's the job of the President to bring the country together. And despite what he thinks, Obama is not the President.

90 Naso Tang  Sat, Jul 19, 2008 4:22:56pm

I used to give support in defense of Jesse Jackson years ago. He made one of his trips to Kuwait during the invasion by Saddam, in 1990 or early 1991 and the holding of hostages of all nationalities there and he came out with a plane load of them, which of course was a pure propaganda concession, by both sides.

However a close friend at the time, a Palestinian woman with American citizenship, was staying in the same hotel at the time of his visit. (I also lived there at the time). The Hilton I believe. She called his room and made contact with him, and said she wanted to be included in the group to leave. The Iraqis were monitoring the calls but weren't able to cut the call off quick enough, and they tried to tell her that she was a traitor and should stay, but Jesse refused to leave until he spoke with her again, and then unless she was allowed to come with him; which they eventually allowed.

I don't think it made the news, but he did stick up for her and she made it to the US where her daughter was. We've lost touch since, and I've often been disappointed in Jesse Jackson since, but he did do some things right once upon a time.

We don't have any room for error, with an appeaser running for office.

I read somewhere that palis in Gaza were calling voters in US on behalf of Urkel O!banus. People read Barry Hussein's books and are oblivious to his shady neo-marxist principles.

Speaking of Gaza, this was in Spiegel yesterday :

'Compared to Us, Hamas Is Islamism Lite'

It's not easy to find a place to meet the man who goes by the name of Abu Mustafa. A number of places were agreed on and jettisoned. Finally, after hours of cruising around Gaza City with Abu Mustafa's driver, the call came. The meeting would take place on the beach. There are enough people on the beach that one doesn't attract so much attention, the caller explained. How absurd this notion was would soon become clear.

We aren't well enough organized yet, but we are in the process of building networks," says the 33-year-old. Eventually, he hopes, a powerful movement will be born. Members are already receiving weapons training and are schooled in both dogma and strategy. "When the fight begins, they will show no mercy," said a middleman for the interview -- himself a fighter in an armed militia -- prior to the beach meeting. "Abu Mustafa is a very dangerous man."

Salafis -- sometimes referred to as Wahhabis -- dream of a world before Islam became cluttered with new innovations and cultural influences. They seek to live a pious, god-fearing life governed by the laws of religion, a life resembling those of the original Muslims. At first glance, such a belief system doesn't differ much from that of other utopian sects -- were it not for their ideas related to holy war. To make their vision a reality, Abu Mustafa and his men are willing to fight -- and they are willing to slaughter innocent bystanders.

Hmmm, took out this paragraph for some reason.

Here is my question on Jackson. According to Discover the Networks, he dropped out of Divinity school, as I recall, and never had a church.

Isn't it fraudulent to call yourself a Reverend when you are not? And shouldn't he return all the money he has bilked in that case?

Lizard lawyers? Anyone know?

The laws determining who is qualified to call themselves a spiritual leader/reverend/minister tend to be rather lax. In many states all you really have to do is call yourself by one of these titles and show that you can competently fill out a marriage certificate. Most of the older Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox churches have much more strict rules than does the state. But honestly, any ol' Billy Bob can call himself the Reverend-Bishop Apostolic Prophet Billy and get away with it. You've never wondered how little store front churches with no ties to anyone or anything else get started?

"In an emailed statement, Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said, “This attack is straight out of the Bush-Rove playbook, and is exactly what the American people are tired of."

Obama's people are going to try to create a dynamic in which any sentence uttered by McCain that contains the words 'Barack' or 'Obama' which is not frank praise will automatically be defined as 'an attack'. This would certainly make Mac even more mealy-mouthed than he already is. They might as well try to use such negative conditioning so that Mac's people are hesitant to say anything at all.

The significant point is, re-defining Obama - taking him apart personally - that is in terms of his background and associates, is the only effective tactic against a man with no record and no accomplishments to analyze, as one might do in an 'issues' campaign.

And the Obama people are well aware of it.

Hey Noam! Thanks, didn't see that comment before. Oh and btw, I'm not Israeli, so I think it would be more accurate to say "The Israelis" rather than "You Israelis"! Didja get your scooter ride in?

Should have hit 'enter' a couple times. That was more of a sidebar to the Israeli lizards.

I got that one in this morning, where I ended up buying breakfast for a couple soldiers (I know I've already posted this, but I'm still pleased). Then I went out in the middle of the afternoon and got rained on in two different parts of the Twin Cities. I ducked into a motorcycle shop to look at a new helmet, and probably should have bought one since one of mine got the hell dinged out of it sitting in my trunk. But I want to take TundraWest to the range on Monday and I'm not sure where my checking is at (Minnesotan, for how much I have left).

David Horowitz was once a very dangerous and influential man. Being a red diaper baby doesn't mean you have to hang around with the Black Panthers. He knew what they were and his epiphany came when they murdered a friend of his. What about the violence that swirled around him before that?

Don't get me wrong -- I'm a huge admirer of Horowitz, have all his books and pay serious attention to what he says. But he was at one time a BAD person.

Dick Morris may not be in the Horowitz league but he's turned away from the Dems and he's just written an important book that should help bolster our positions -- so -- toe-sucking personality aside, I wouldn't have put him on that list.

Horowitz as a red diaper baby was raised to support the revolution, any revolution, including the Panthers', against Capitalist Running Dog USA. Horowitz was brainwashed by his own folks, and yet lived to deprogram himself, recover, and tell the world what went on in the cult of revolution.

What excuse do the rest of us have today for going along with race hustlers today who practice separatism from the corporate boardroom? Nothing to forgive, but to encourage. I've done that kind of thing maybe a half dozen times in the last year. Aside from it being emotionally gratifying, personally, the appreciation you'll receive - next time - will be beyond measure. I always make sure I keep a credit card on hand for such an occasion.

On that note, I'll relate another story, then I have a party to head to.

I was walking out to my parking space, way out on the edge of downtown St. Paul when I noticed a soldier, clearly walking to his parking space as well. Ahead of me was another regular suit, and I noticed him eyeing the soldier, but not menacing. His pace quickened and I kind of had an idea what he was up to. I had the same idea as he, I was sure. If I could get to waiting at the stoplight with that soldier, I was going to shake his hand and say thank you. We both beat it across the street to where this red-headed kid in the black beret was waiting. I watched the body language of the 'suit.' I knew what he wanted to do. I had already planned on it, but I wanted him to think he inspired me to do the same. "Why are you waiting?" I thought.

Then, as the light turned green and we all three headed across the street, the 'suit' turned to the man and said, "I just wanted to express my appreciation for your service to our country." Dammit! That was fun to watch. I smacked the kid on the shoulder and say, "me, too." I think the soldier was rather floored, because I know he noticed us creeping up behind him.

I watched the 'suit' (and I'm largely a 'suit' too, btw) walk away, head held high and I know he was smiling his ass off.

Because I was.

So does anyone expect Jesse Jackson Sr to either know or posses anything even remotely resembling honor? Disgusting behavior on the part of someone who should know better. He should have kept his pie hole shut with the soldier's family, unless he had talked to the soldiers.

What the paleostines did in regards to the remains of those Israeli soldiers is a war crime. So where's the outrage in the court of world opinion?

Grassroots Contributions Challenge Murtha War chest in PA’s 12th

JOHNSTOWN [07.17.08]: The campaign of Johnstown resident and Republican nominee for Congress Lt. Colonel Bill Russell outpaced incumbent Congressman John Murtha in the second fundraising quarter of 2008. According to campaign manager, Peg Luksik, William Russell for Congress reported raising $637,137 to Murtha’s $113,155 to the Federal Elections Commission (FEC). The combined totals from the first and second quarters of 2008 exceed $900,000.

“The incredible story about Bill’s campaign is that the $15 and $25 contributions are coming in from all over Pennsylvania and every corner of the country,” said Luksik. “This is K-Street versus Main Street. These are patriotic families expressing support for soldiers, sailors and Marines, and people saying they’ve had enough of the old ‘pay-to-play’ culture in the Capitol. That’s what’s fueling this campaign.”

Luksik said the Russell campaign has been operating in recent weeks without the benefit of a “visible, active campaigner.” She continued, “Bill is currently on active duty with the Army. That means he can’t campaign, he can’t direct campaign activities and simply can’t be a candidate. The ‘Russell Brigade’ is forming around Bill’s personal story and motivation for running. There’s something really special going on in this race.”

This week the campaign is also announcing the launch of [Link: www.RussellBrigade.com...] offering visitors the opportunity to pay tribute to their personal, military heroes and donate to the campaign. The website features an “enlistment” center for prospective volunteers, and requests “front porch campaign” hosts for Russell’s signature events.

Lt. Colonel Russell will resume campaigning on August 1st at 12:01am with a marathon, 48-hour campaign tour. Russell and his wife Kasia are survivors of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the Pentagon. He has served in the U.S. Army for 28 years of Active and Reserve service, including six tours in hostile fire zones. His deployments include Operation Desert Storm, action in Kosovo and most recently Operation Iraqi Freedom.

What's a couple a buck to throw that scum-sucking, partisan out of office?

DC Rejects Handgun Application

Dick Heller is the man who brought the lawsuit against the District's 32-year-old ban on handguns. He was among the first in line Thursday morning to apply for a handgun permit.

But when he tried to register his semi-automatic weapon, he says he was rejected. He says his gun has seven bullet clip. Heller says the City Council legislation allows weapons with fewer than eleven bullets in the clip. A spokesman for the DC Police says the gun was a bottom-loading weapon, and according to their interpretation, all bottom-loading guns are outlawed because they are grouped with machine guns.

Everything I have is "bottom loading" and none of 'em are machine guns.

Of course way back in 1991 or 92, former Navy Admirals also lined up to support draft dodging, military disrespecting Bill Clinton's military credentials.

Fiddling while Burns roams

In his intensely reported June 2 Weekly Standard cover story on Secretary Rice, Stephen Hayes took a look at the major areas of foreign policy committed to Rice's care during Bush's second term: North Korea, Syria, Iran and Iran's terrorist proxies. In these areas, the administration's record is one of miscalculation, retreat and failure. Why?

In May Secretary Rice hailed the Lebanese government's capitulation to Hezbollah as "a positive step toward resolving the current crisis." Hayes's article showed that Secretary Rice applies similar verbal dexterity to address a series of foreign policy disappointments.

To outward appearances Secretary Rice has delegated responsibility for diplomatic issues with North Korea to Christopher Hill, with Iran to Nicholas Burns, and reserved Israeli-Palestinian issues to herself. While Secretary Rice seeks to salvage a legacy out of her weak record, American interests in every one of these areas have suffered. The "surge" of troops to Iraq has produced the signal foreign policy success of George Bush's second term.
...
Today's news brings word that at the talks with Iran, with the United States in attendance for the first time, Iran ruled out suspending its uranium enrichment. According to the AP report, the presence of Undersecretary of State William Burns at the talks had led to hopes Iran would compromise on suspension. Or something.
