Peaceful Islamic Youth Watch
At the SoundVision Islamic bulletin board, someone posted the violent poem “Yes, I am a Terrorist,” that I wrote about last week.
A visitor with some sense asked the moderators to delete the poem because it violated forum rules. It wasn’t deleted; obviously the moderators didn’t think it was objectionable. Instead, a discussion about white racism ensued, with the sensible visitor (Tom) holding his own against comments like:
Nobody would have even thought about possibly listening to the words of Martin Luther King had Malcolm X not threatened those people with what they deserved.
In the middle of all this, a “junior member” named “Rapstar” defends the poem (even though he says he hasn’t read it) and offers this rather unsettling view on terrorism:
Besides which, terror is not necessarily a bad thing but one has to organise that terror. Don’t make that terror haphazard. Plan it and have a sound theory behind it. This is what the Marxists did back in the early 20th century and this is what the Muslims are lacking at present. But there aint nothing wrong with terror per se.
“Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power including steeds of war to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies and others besides whom ye may not know but whom Allah doth know.” [Surat al-Anfal 8:60]
And after this endorsement, he cheerfully signs off:
Wasalaam, and have a nice day!
…with a happy smiley face.
UPDATE: In this thread, they say Israel was responsible for 9/11. While the SoundVision board isn’t as evil-minded as ClearGuidance, the same poisonous attitudes are present—including the twisted conspiracy theories so prevalent in the Arab world.
UPDATE 2: I’ve received several emails today containing viruses, with subjects like “Have a nice ASSUMPTION.” Amateurs.
