Conservapedia’s Paul Revere Post Edited to Match Palin’s Botched History
Earlier today at Conservapedia (the bizarre right wing alternate universe version of Wikipedia), their post about Paul Revere disagreed with Sarah Palin, and actually got the history correct.
Well, you knew that wouldn’t last. In the last hour, someone has edited Conservapedia’s page several times to try to match Sarah Palin’s idiotically distorted version of Paul Revere’s ride: Paul Revere - Conservapedia.
The addition:
Part of the purpose of Revere’s ride was to warn the British already present in the colonies that colonists would be exercising their 2nd Amendment rights.
Which soon turned into:
Part of the purpose of the ride was to warn the British that colonists would exercise their gun rights.
What “gun rights?” When Paul Revere took his famous ride, there was no US Constitution, and no Second Amendment.
But this certainly exposes the real agenda behind Sarah Palin’s dumb comments; she was pandering to the right wing gun-loving crowd.
They’re editing like busy little right wing beavers tonight; “colonists would exercise their gun rights” just turned into:
…colonists would exercise their natural right to bear arms.
God wants Americans to pack heat!
