Here’s another thread to keep up with breaking news from the horrific school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut. CNN’s Lisa Desjardins just posted this awful news:

UPDATE at 12/14/12 11:13:07 am

The shooter was a 20-year old man, dressed all in black. When police visited the man’s home in New Jersey, they discovered one of his parents fatally shot.

UPDATE at 12/14/12 11:32:01 am

The shooter has been identified as Ryan Lanza. (Correction @ 1:19: AP now confirms that the shooter’s name was Adam Lanza.)

A Facebook page for a “Ryan Lanza” in Hoboken, being circulated all over the Internet, now appears to be unconnected to the shooter:

It turns out that Ryan Lanza, wrongly identified as the shooter in early reports, is Adam Lanza’s brother. See: Original Reports of Newtown School Shooter’s ID Led to Brother’s Facebook Account.
