The author was born in Greece, emmigrated to the US as a child and became a successful journalist. As an adult he decides to put his investigative journlist skills to work in finding the truth about his mother’s death at the hands of communists during the Greek Civil War following WWII. Extremely well written, a good read and a testament to the insidiousness of the socialist movement. One of the most chilling parts is toward the end when the author is “solicited” by young students handing out socialist leaflets. He explains the facts and is laughed off.
