What Toronto teachers know is they now have the Ontario Human Rights Commission second-guessing their disciplinary decisions because the OHRC alleges racism motivates many of their decisions, while their own board apparently didn’t have the guts to point out that just because a disproportionate number of students disciplined happen to be black, doesn’t automatically mean the reason was racism.
