Shrillary trying to control TX caucuses
(I wish that the caucus system would be changed to primaries, darn it. I see no sense to them, but that may be just me.)
Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign, while suggesting in TV ads that opponent Barack Obama isn’t ready to protect Americans from terrorism, has sent hit pieces in the mail saying he’s an economic risk as well.
“American families can’t afford Barack Obama,” reads a headline on three mailers that some likely Democratic voters in Austin received Friday.
In one Travis County household, the wife received a mail piece criticizing Mr. Obama’s health care plan, while the husband was sent two mailers. One slams the Illinois senator for high gasoline prices and the other, for “predatory credit interest rates.”
“The Barack Obama Health Care Plan Fails to Cover Every American,” says the Clinton mailer to females. “Just what the HMOs and pharmaceutical companies want.”***
The male-oriented mailers say Mr. Obama voted for consumer-unfriendly interest rate and energy bills in 2005. The gas mailer says, “Energy company employees donated over $650,000 to Barack Obama and got what they wanted.”
All three use color photos of a smiling Mr. Obama, not the unflattering pictures commonly used in negative direct mail.
***And just who was in the pocket of the pharmaceutical megalith and the HMO’s when she tried to control our health care with her secret committees?
