‘Guardian’ editor apologizes for Jenin editorial

Alan Rusbridger, the Guardian’s editor, apologized for the editorial that stated: “Israel’s actions in Jenin were every bit as repellent as Osama Bin Laden’s attack on New York on September 11.”
And remarkably in apparent contradiction to the editorials and “news” reports common in the Guardian, Rusbridger also said: Israel is a “moral necessity” and reaffirmed The Guardian’s position that it supports a two-state solution and is against any boycott of Israel.
