The Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe) is a small passerine bird and is perhaps the most familiar flycatcher in eastern North America. This bird nests near people on buildings and bridges, in woodlands and along the edges of forests, especially near water. It can be recognized by its emphatic “phee-bee” call and its habit of constantly wagging it tail.
