WaPo informs us this morning that Hamid Karzai has quadrupled down on being a kleptocrat. In the article we get all sorts of gems out of Karzai: He prefers the Taliban to the US; He doesn’t believe in counterinsurgency; He like McChrystal better than Patraeus because McChrystal looked the other way at Karzai’s nepotism and corruption; He now sparks a crisis once a month to extort more from the Obama Administration (as well as from opposing governments in the region).

Oh - and he wants a new pony.
