GUNS: Alex Jones vs Rachel Maddow
Documenting Alex Jones’ latest hissy fit:
On January 13 Rachel Maddow made an argument on her show about gun rights radicalism, a position which she reported as assuming that gun rights, the civil right to bear arms, should enable the American people to overthrow their government, that this gun rights radicalism position would necessarily have to lead to “The Right to Bear Nukes” because the people would at least have to be able to strategically compete with the United States Armed Forces in terms of weapon force.
The Washington Post article Maddow is referencing in that segment, btw, is by E.J. Dionne Jr.: “Violent talk blocks sane gun laws”. The Alex Jones clip is from a RT show from last October (YouTube link).
Of course, Alex Jones and his troglodytes shot back with all of their reactionary manpower. Sez Disinfowars:
Maddow and MSNBC are traitors to the spirit and the letter of the Constitution. It is nothing less than criminal that they – along with much of the rest of the corporate media – are attempting to dismiss the founders of this nation as violent radicals and portray the fight against tyranny as extremism.
“I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!” said Barry Goldwater in his acceptance speech as the 1964 Republican presidential candidate. Goldwater’s comment is even more pertinent today as so-called liberals – who are in fact teleprompter reading opportunists – connive to destroy liberty.
And Old Leatherlungs himself doubles down. Moneyquotes:
“I’m gonna make the case 110 %, I will absolutely prove that without a shadow of a doubt Rachel Maddow – America’s favorite Boyscout – I am going to absolutely make the 110 % case that they are the unamerican enemies of the republic. […] I have the Declaration of Indepence [grabs for printout] right here [smacks it], this is America, more than the Bill of Rights, more than the Constitution, this is it! […] This is America! If you don’t stand for this, if you don’t kiss the ring of this, you’re not an American!”
He continues to rant about tyranny and repeatedly calls her “Mister Maddow”…
It is interesting and important to note in this context that the Declaration of Indepence was indeed written over a year into the American Revolutionary War, but that it is the Godless Constitution*, written years after the war had ended, that contains the Second Amendment and is the Supreme Law of the Land, not the Declaration of Independence.
All the while, Drudge Report continues to keep Alex Jones in his blogroll (as long as the Republicans are still mostly out of power, I assume).

* Note that Alex Jones is, despite all pseudo-libertarian nudges towards “the Left”, very obvious on the Right in that he is an Intelligent-Design-Creationist, in that he believes that “gay folks replicate by recruitment” and that homosexuality is a chemically induced “lifestyle” through which the New World Order carries out their program of eugenics by stopping humanity from reproducing) and of course long-time ardent supporter of known theocrat Ron Paul.
