Robert Spencer should be hanging out with the Phelpses, seems to be the same sort of sub-human species as Fred and the gang

My problem with Keith Ellison is his continued ties to a terrorist front, the Council for American-Islamic Relations ("CAIR"), which received its initial funding from Hamas. When the truth was put out there for the world to see by someone online, CAIR sued. The person sued, through his attorney, propounded a series of interrogatories, requests to produce and requests to admit which CAIR was afraid to respond to because it would bring the entire truth into the light. CAIR tried to avoid answering the discovery. The judge told CAIR to answer. CAIR dismissed the complaint "with prejudice," meaning that the case was over and could not be filed ever again.

The case was CAIR v. Whitehead.

Now, if Mr. Ellison is truly for America and for American Muslims, then shouldn't he break off all contact with CAIR? If not, he's looking like someone who's supporting a group that wants to turn the US into an Islamic caliphate.

re: #7 sffilk

It's not about Ellison.

re: #8 Sergey Romanov

Or - funnily enough - about an American Caliphate.

Which is kind of protected against in the Constitution, as is a Christian State.

Why does everyone who just down dinged this post want an Islamic caliphate? (as opposed to a Hindu, Buddhist, or Sikh one)

Gawd, I'm so sick of these hateful, ignorant asshats.

12 sffilk  Fri, Mar 11, 2011 3:42:54pm

Allowing me to go on, CAIR does all it can to stifle moderate Muslims who would want to speak. It also does all it can to stifle the truth about it from coming out. That said, while I can empathize that Mr. Ellison knows of people who have suffered because they're Muslim-American or American Muslims, but he also supports those who would stifle those who have suffered from telling what happened to them because CAIR would rather say, "We are the ones who will tell the story and we will lie where we see fit" than let these people speak for themselves.

I don't, and it's only the Muslims who want this, and only a certain group of Muslims speciifically.

CAIR is bad? okwhatevah. That's not the point here. Stop MBFing.

Like CAIR, who you paraphrase in bold, and by extension Ellison?.

I don't know WHAT to make of Ellison.

Right. You are only asking questions. I forgot that.

And a hint - since the constitution prevents congress establishing any law that promotes a state religion and that all congressmen have to pledge an oath to uphold said constitution, i would say that the odds of Mr Elison supporting a caliphate are not all that strong.

Well, the silver lining of this sow's ear is that I have more names of individuals & organizations to add to my database.

LOL. You seem terribly unaware of what is it that we're trying to tell you. That whatever it is about CAIR and Ellison's ties to it you find appalling does not excuse the right-wing behavior.

Oh, and linking to a wacky-looking site that links to known hate-sites doesn't help either.

26 Shiplord Kirel  Sat, Mar 12, 2011 7:36:00am

Ok, let's see if I get this:

Hamas bad-----> CAIR bad------> Ellison bad------>Young Hamdani's courage and sacrifice worthless.

The way these people think (if we call it that) is often more frightening and disgusting than what they believe.

If we're going to talk about ties, I can name a plethora of conservatives that are a pennies throw away from white supremacist groups.

I agree with you there, but all I was trying to do was get out some facts, that's all.
