It will be reported, but in the penultimate paragraph in an article in which Israel is pilloried for some nonsense. What a contrast from what is being done to infant Jews in the same place.

The pettiness of some of the national debate in the US when contrasted to real atrocities like Itamar and real global threats like Fukushima makes me sick. I really no longer give a rat's tail what Limbaugh or Glenn Beck say. It is just so much mindless chatter, along with the whiny responses from outraged Democrats. Who gives a crap. I am so frustrated by all the white noise drowning out real problems.

I couldn't agree more. In these difficult, interesting and dangerous times, there is too much focus on petty nonsense. If I was prone to conspiracy theories, I would believe the government does this to distract the general populatoin from rising up as one to demand real action on real problems. Since I am not, however, a conspiracist, I can only lament the devolution of society to the point where it cares more about who sang well on American Idol than whether Turkey's ruling party is suppressing the media in order to assure its continued ascendancy, whether Egypt will turn to radical anti-Americanism or Islamism or whether Iran will finally get "the bomb" and what they will do with it. Even the "interest" in what is happening in Japan appears to be borne more of prurience than real concern, as evidenced by the fact that donations to help the Japanese people are reporteldy trailing donations that were made to help the victims of other major natural disasters.
