Isn't this exactly the same barbaism that Muslims are accused of having? This is particularly shameful coming from a rabbi. Shame on him.

There are indeed rabbis that are a fountain of such quotes. And they get press coverage, positive or negative depending upon who is writing the article or doing the interview. It is a shame.

I suspect they are from the school of 'Just Spell my Name Right'.
