We have a pool going on which of these blowholes is going to call either Obama as an individual or us as a collective, n*****s first. My money's on Beck, but it could be any of these dumb bigots.

I cordially invite Glenn Beck or any other dumb, stupid con who listens to him to take a cab to the nearest Black Part of Town, stand on the street corner, and call the people there "colored" all they please.

They have the god-given, 1st Amendment right, let them go assert it to their heart's content.

What I don't get about this is that it's so easy not to give offense. I don't use African-American, I just say black. No black person has ever gotten offended or upset by me doing this. It's perfectly common parlance.

"Colored" is not. "Colored" is a phrase that you only use when you're trying to be a little dewy-eyed race-baiter, or you're a gazillion years old. Beck is the former.

We just don't refer to ourselves as that unless it's part of a proper noun.
