So, what about Jews, Bryan? In a related note, I've decided to do my History 499 (the big class for history majors that requires a long research paper) on Anti-Semitism in the later years of the Russian Empire. I'm sure I will find parrelles between that and the anti Islamic crap Fiscer and others engage in today.

You will.

If you know enough Russian, I could point you to some sources.

In this case, change better to bitter and I agree.

I hardly know any Russian unfortunately. The joke I tell is that my Russian vocab is limited to da, nyet, and vodka. An exaggeration of course since I know more than that but I struggled heavily when I tried Russian two falls ago. I still find myself fascinating by the history though. And the professor said there was a lot of Russian historical stuff at Georgetown's library and since the class requires trips to many libraries in the DC Metro area, I now have an excuse to go to Georgetown.

A *lot* of this stuff was scanned by Google. It's a matter of typing keywords in books.google.com

His love for his country and for its traditions are going to deepen because those traditions are rooted in the soil of the Judeo-Christian tradition.

What are 'judeo' about those traditions, exactly?

9 SanFranciscoZionist  Wed, Aug 31, 2011 11:16:08am

Let's see, Mr. Fischer:

"Now if you have a Jew, on the other hand, that says that - "I am a Jew first and an American second" - look out! Because that indicates his ultimate devotion is to the Talmud, it's to Israel, it's to other Jews. It's not to Jesus Christ, it's not to the Western tradition, it is not to American values and American tradition and American history and American heroes - it is to the Talmud and the Talmud tells him that goyim are no more important than animals."

Yep, read that passage before.

"1. We kept the Old Testament, although mostly just for the passages about gays being bad.

2. Shut up and be glad you're getting included at all!"

Let's see, which would be more sane: A purely Christian America or a purely Atheist America?

Go eat a dick pizza, Fischer.

But when an Atheist says "I'm an Atheist first and an American second," the fact that he is an Atheist first, he's got devotion and allegiance to no deity means he's going to be a better American. He's going to be an asset to his country, he's going to love his country, he's going to become more fervent in his patriotism. His love for his country and for its traditions are going to deepen because those traditions are rooted in the soil of reason.

I can't decide if this guy is legitimately crazy or if he's the best conservative troll since Ann Coulter.

Hm, Crazy Pam may take that cake, though personally, I think James David Manning gives her a run for her $.

Omg he is hilarious

The geniuses in the tea party ran around with "long legged mack daddy" picket signs in imitation of JDM, back in 2009. They eat this stuff up, and, must say, I do enjoy feeding him to them /rotfl

That's the thing. These "people" use the term "Judeo-Christian" as a catchphrase to say, "We actually mean Christian, but we want to include the Jews, who we hate, but we don't want people to think we're judenhasse."

THEY LOVE JEWS!

Without them all dying at the beginning of Armageddon, Jesus can't come back.

Being a Christian certainly hasn't made Fischer a better person.

You might check with the Holocaust Memorial, too. The staff there may have references in English.
