Once again I'm struck by the similarity between the Oathkeepers and the Japanese military before WWII. Both claim a 'higher patriotism' that allows them to indulge in violence against the country they've sworn to protect.

'Double patriots' is what the Japanese soldiers called themselves. It's what I call the Oathkeepers.
