Brewer Recasts Tiff on the Tarmac to Help Her PAC

Already enriched through more book sales after her tiff on the tarmac with President Obama, Gov. Jan Brewer is now using the incident to raise money for her political action committee.
And she’s even made up - literally - a new version of exactly what happened at the airport to make her case.
In an Internet posting on her Jan PAC website, Brewer is citing last week’s highly publicized event to ask for donations to the political action committee she established last year to influence federal races nationwide.

“I was telling him, ‘You have one more year,’ ” she now writes on the PAC website, a clear reference to the upcoming presidential race. “The president needs to be reminded that he is the president of the federal republic and not a king lording over state governors.”
But political ally and PAC spokesman Paul Senseman said Brewer’s statements should not be taken as the absolute truth, but rather as literary license in a response to efforts by Democrats to raise money by using the incident.
And those quote marks she used when quoting herself?
“It’s a tongue-in-cheek expression to make light of something that has been overblown and, frankly, overused by groups like the Arizona Democratic Party and others,” he said. Senseman confirmed that despite the wording on the solicitation, Brewer never told the president anything like what her comments on the Jan PAC website say.
