Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei: ‘kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel’
This is looking like it’s going to be a frightening spring and summer this year…
Iran’s Ayatollahs: Israel Must Be Destroyed
Last week, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei insisted that Israel and all of its citizens be annihilated and offered assistance to anyone who would do the job.
The Iranian leader’s comments were originally made at a Friday prayer service where Khamenei announced that Iran would any ‘nation or group that attacks the ‘cancerous tumor’ of Israel’. He added that Israel is a ‘corrupting material’ and that Muslim have the ‘jurisprudential justification’ to kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel, and that, the Islamic government of Iran must take the helm.’ Khamenei also claimed that Iran was not going to attack any other nation. The comments were posted later on a conservative Iranian website together with Khamenei’s legal ruling and justification for such action. Over the weekend, the official Iranian news agency, Fars, aired the comments and justification and has been seen by most Western news outlets as being an endorsement of the policy.
The comments and justification were written by Alireza Forghani, one of Khamenei’s analysts and strategists. The doctrine is based on Islamic Law and verses from the Quran. In addition, the doctrine laid out a complete strategy for destroying Israel and all of its inhabitants that is almost exclusively dependant on Iranian missile technology and its nuclear program.
In addition to Khamenei’s comments, Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander Hossein Salami said that Iran would attack any country that dares to allow an attack on Iran to occur via its airspace or inside its borders. He also said that the Iranian military is performing maneuvers in the southern part of the country and would not be intimidated by anyone. Those statements were seen to be a warning to Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain that border Iran and are host to US military facilities.
Israel reacted harshly to the Iranian leader’s comments. On Sunday evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel’s military power would protect Israel from destruction by the Iranian regime. In addition, he said that Israel would continue to develop its military and prepare for any attempt by Iran to attack the country. The US also condemned the statements and urged Iran to cease its program while also asking Israel to give the sanctions against the Islamic republic more time to be effective.
