AFA’s Marvin Sanders: It’s really the Left who wants the Theocracy
Interesting comments made on an AFA radio show this morning during a long discussion about the whole Obamacare/contraception/religious freedom outrage.

The whole segment is interesting, but skip to 6:36 for the relevant portion.
Transcription is below:
We often hear charges that the right is trying to create a theocracy but it’s actually the left that uses the scripture as a means of delivering the services through the state. They’re trying to bring the Church and State together and use the…they actually interpret scripture as being a mandate for the State to provide certain things.
Where as Christians we see, we interpret scripture and we see these instructions are to the individual Christian and to the Chruch to deliver these services and take care of these responsbilities, not the state. And we believe it’s healthy for the Church and State to have a line of separation but it does not mean that the State is outside the influence of the Church. God is over all.
Despite the fact he seems to blatantly contradict himself with that last statement, what’s amazing about this is that he said all of these things during a live segment with a Republican Congressman (Chris Smith - NJ) and he (Smith) did not dispute any of these comments in any way, shape or form.
In my opinion, that reflects very poorly on an elected representative with a duty to protect and uphold the constitution.
