This is the place where complete moral convergence exists between zealots of all religious persuasions. This is a further outgrowth of a haredi society which is collectively engaged in a never-ending search for the next meaningless chumra. Whoever is the most machmir, wins. The Badatz used to be a useful organization. What a shame.

PS: On the Mehadrin restaurants site, the hechsher is listed as provided by Eida Hachareidis.

The real heart of the culture is the consistent conversion of personal and national problems into scientific, engineering, and design problems. For instance, a guy who didn’t like being in a wheelchair formed a startup for a mechanical exoskeleton that allows him, and others to walk.

Oddly, I believe there is a spiritual element to this approach, that unfortunately stops at the doors of this restaurant.
