God sometimes works in mysterious ways. In this case, it appears that he supported Mitt Romney all along, since he splintered the evangelical vote by calling Perry, Cain, Bachmann and Santorum to run (I suspect someone else called Newt into the race). If he had actually wanted Santorum to be President, wouldn't God have told Perry, Cain and Bachmann to stay out of the race?/

God works in mysterious ways. Or perhaps Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry got a wrong number. Loki also works in mysterious ways.

LOL. As Yul Brynner once said to Charlton Heston:

"Your God...IS GOD"

People who talk to God are praying. When God talks to people it's insanity. Or a pandering GOP/TP hack trying to get your vote because he/she/it is "special".

Yep, it certainly is curious. A number of social conservative politicians have publicly declared that their political aspirations are the result of "speaking with God", some even going so far as to insist that their election campaigns were "God's will".

Santorum, Bachmann, Cain, Perry, Gingrich, Palin -- all have cited divine intervention as a primary motivator in their quest for higher office, including the current battle for the presidency.
And yet each has had his/her campaign for the 2012 GOP nominee either never materialize, quickly crash and burn, or in the case of Santorum and Gingrich, gradually founder.

So what insights can we glean from this turn of events? Perhaps God is an Ashton Kutcher fan, as He appears to have punk'd each of these POTUS wannabes.
