And there have been zero, nada, no prosecutions for financial misdeeds in the past four years. There were over a thousand in both the Clinton & Bush administrations.

That's a really easily verifiable lie, dude. Why did you ever believe such a bit of bullshit?

It's true that the Justice department has concluded that criminal prosecutions in many financial cases will fail due to the complexity of the law and the legal resources the other side can bear, and instead want to work through regulatory agencies or civil suits. I wish that we had better financial laws and a better way of convicting financial criminals in this country, but there's no reason to hyperbolically make stupid claims.

Here's an article about how few financial prosecutions we're doing, by the way:

[Link: www.huffingtonpost.com...]

The federal government is on track to file just 1,365 prosecutions for financial institution fraud in fiscal year 2011, according to a new report from a watchdog group. That would be the lowest number of such prosecutions in at least two decades.

So see, there's a real claim that you can make, and it's still critical of the administration, but this one is better because it's not based on a "I didn't bother to do a single fucking bit of research before opening my mouth" lie.
