Jimmy Carter, Stuck on Stupid. His previous DERPs about 'Israeli apartheid' have cost him all credibility in my eyes.

re: #1 Dark_Falcon

Don't like the president but to equate him with some stupid sounds right wingers make "derp" is phoney.

Indeed. The man has a hard-on for Israel but otherwise behaves willfully ignorant. He is not to be taken seriously.

I concur that Carter's opinion on the matter is not worth listening to. Then again, even a broken clock is right twice a day. If someone credible arrives at the same conclusion with good evidence to back it up (as opposed to merely a long-form "this is how I interpret recent events" op-ed) only then will I listen.

If Israel has indeed given-up on a two state solution, its probably because Hamas, Fatah, and anyone else in Palestine with access to rockets and mortars have repeatedly rejected it. On a long enough timeline, you would give up too. Anyone would crack sooner or later. And making the Israelis crack was likely the intent. Glorified warlords like Hamas can't govern without an external enemy.

Hmmm - does Carter denounce Ireland for being a "Catholic" state? Or England for being a "Church of England" state? Or any of his Arab friends' states for being Islamic states? Thought not. When is he going to renege on the world's lamest apology for his apartheid lies? 5, 4, 3....

Read Alan Dershowitz's "The Case For Israel" and "The Case Against Israel's Enemies." Both books have sections on Jimmy Carter and his lies. The man is despicable.

Wow. Those comments really make me despair for the human race. People are literally blaming the 1929 Hebron Massacre on Zionism, speaking of Zionists as some sort of shadowy cabal, and (of curse) the same tired attempts to discredit the very idea that antisemitism exists.

*Sigh

Alan Dershowitz is the biggest scumbag in America today who isn't a GOP member

Tighten the Rules on E-Cigarettes? Is This Good Oversight?
