Just in time for the holidays, the senior members of the Republican party reminded us today that, no matter how much lipstick they slather on the pig in order to fool the more credulous members of the courtier media, the heart of their party is still black and withered and smells of death and corruption.

That list of names should go on posters and be seen nationwide as a list of elected idiots officials that no longer are in control of their facilities. Ladies and Gentlemen; Introducing Your Very Own Boxes Of Rocks! They spit in the face of everyone. The cretins have spoken. Is America listening?

What would the treaty actually have done? Reading the text of the convention it doesn't appear to do anything that the Americans with Disabilities act doesn't already do.

Was it just a matter of putting our weight behind it, trying to set an example? Don't get me wrong, I don't see any good reason for voting against it, but what protections would it provide that we do not already? Maybe for Americans abroad in nations that aren't signatories?

Aren't Rob Portman, Chuck Grassley and Kate Bailey Hutchinson suppose to be moderates?

Right next to the votes against the Violence Against Women act.

Yep, tries to give the rest of the world the protections and help we already give our people. That is why obstructing it is so asinine. GOP like to say we need to get others to follow our lead and then pull shit like this.

And this is why I am glad I voted for Jim Webb in 2006 and Tim Kaine in 2012. George Allen would have opposed this. I have little doubt.

Awfully proud to see that there are no (D)'s on that list.

Also quite proud of my two Republican senators, both of whom broke with the party line on this.

Those men are heroes! They saved us from UN Black Helicopters coming to kill Rick Santorum's kid!!!!

Wait, now that I say it out loud the whole GOP premiss for being against the UN disabled treaty sounds batshit crazy.

Clicked on this page to see if my 2 senators were on the list. I thought maybe, just maybe, Hutchison might have voted for it as she is leaving the Senate, but alas, no.

Texas...my love/hate relationship continues.

What about Sarah Palin's kid? Doesn't she care at least as much as Pope Rick, or doesn't the little prop matter now that the Wasilla Hillbilly isn't running for office any more?

Palin is still active and I am sure her prop use of her child can be used at a moment's notice warning us about invading commies - you know, the ones that lost the cold war and don't exist anymore but are still a threat to America,,,,,

Probably what's happened is that she hasn't been on Greta's show since the vote. I doubt that she'll miss her opportunity to play the potential victim - again - ASAP.
