Love the whole "Palestinian Lies" thing.

That kind of untrustworthy and unscrupulous by genetics trope has never been used to dehumanize and caricature an entire ethnic or religious population before. Really.

Did I say anything about genetics? No, I did not. The lies I am referring to are lies put out by Palestinians, it does not therefore follow that I was ascribing dishonesty to Palestinians as a nationality.

I think the idea of providing video cameras to expose propaganda is brilliant. BT'selem used videos to good effect to demonstrate:
The inaction of the IDF when Palestinians are being attacked by rabid settlers
Settlers shooting at palestinians
Settler children throwing stones at Palestinian women and children
Foaming-at-the-mouth settlers destroying ancient olive trees

And how about when Israel refuses entry to foreign media after a 'ground assault.' If Jenin had a camera on every street corner, we might have been able to find out how exactly a family of ten end up riddled with bullet holes. Having strategically-placed cameras may also preempt Avital Leibovich's oft-used refrain that 'we have proof that the hospital/ the school/ the mosque was being used to launch missile.'

I think you're on to something

agreed. There needs to be Israeli cameras in the settlements as well - settlers often attack Palestinians with the IDF standing by, and then claim that the Palestinians where the agressors and arrest them with no consequences for the fascist right-wing extremists.

Actually they don't. What they do is film and edit to make their point.

What the Israel forces are going to do is film the filmers and show the whole story.

Almost funny how a post claiming to be against generalizing about a group not only generalizes about a group, but then its defender does as well.

Funny how the Palestinians can smuggle hundreds of rockets and video cameras not so much.

So both Jamesfirecat and I are to be counted as 'tardoids' and so is everyone else who downdinged that post? I downdinged post #1 because Kdizzle misrepresented what I was saying, and did so to the extent of slandering me as a bigot. My post isn't bigoted, Jimmah, I'm making no ethnic or religious judgement, nor is the article. But the Palestinian political organizations and terrorist groups have been very dishonest in their reporting of casualties, and to call their deliberate untruths "Palestinian lies" should not have been taken to mean that I was expressing racist sentiment.

Jimmah, please, have more faith in your fellow lizards than that.

Why? How am I in the wrong for making clear my disapproval of a post that mischarecterizes my argument?

However, bullshit. After heading your page "Palestinian Lies" you are at liberty to dispute that you intended a genetic meaning to your generalisation but you cannot deny that you intended a nationalistic generalisation, as you actually just admitted.

"Nationality" in that case was meant to refer to race and genetics. I used that word be cause Palestinians are Arabs, so to say "Palestinians as a race" would have been confusing and might have gotten me into trouble. Sometimes the language isn't precise to let us say what we really want to say.

Washington Redskins fans celebrate NFC East title in victory over Dallas Cowboys - The Washington Post

Washington awoke with shredded vocal cords Monday.

Even so, the cause for all the hoarseness bore repeating at barbershops, bars and shopping malls, and via talk radio, telephone and tweets: The Washington Redskins were champions of the NFC East for the first time in 13 years.

Continues.

Gus = Evil Clown

Evil Clown is very quick with a joke, but his jests always have a barb. He has little patience for in-depth discussions and will often disrupt exchanges between serious forum participants by introducing irrelevant topics, fatuous quips, and offhand comments. His greatest thrill is to taunt and humiliate weaker or more plodding Warriors with his snappy ripostes. Not a particularly powerful Warrior, Evil Clown will attempt to avoid defeat by accusing his attacker of having no sense of humor.

Let's put it this way, Dark:

Would it be okay for me to title a page "Black lies" and talk about how Farrakhan lies? He's quite popular in many parts of the black community. Would it be okay for me to do that? Why, or why not?

That would a comment based on race, so no. But if you called it 'Nation of Islam lies' it would be fine. Both Hamas and Fatah engage in this kind of dishonesty, so "Palestinian" is used as an overarching term. To read it as racism, as 'Kdizzle' did, is both incorrect and in my opinion an attempt to blacken the reputations of Strategypage.com, Israel, and me personally.

Hey St Flavia - stuff your fake piety up your arse where it belongs.

Accusing people of dissing the disabled when they clearly aren't doing anything of the sort? It's what Jesus would do!
