17 Billion Earth-Like Planets Across Milky Way: Study
Key findings include the fact that one in six stars hosts an Earth-sized planet in an orbit of 85 days or less, and that almost all sun-like stars have a planetary system of some sort.
Scientists have yet to find a twin Earth — one that’s not only the right size, but also located in the so-called Goldilocks zone, a place that’s not too hot and not too cold where water might exist in liquid form.
- but I believe it’s only a matter of time until we do.
