I’m glad the president had the presser with military personnel involved. The republicans are complaining about it because they don’t want to actually see the people that their obstruction will impact negatively. Just as a hurt dog will holler and a hurt pig will squeal, the republicans are hollering and squealing because they feel they were “injured” by seeing members of the military at the presser. Tough titty. Republicans have been used to saying one thing in public and doing something entirely different in private, so being forced to see some of the potential “victims” of their intransigence causes them great pain. They never expected President Obama to make the sequester “real” to the American people. They were relying on their old technique of appearing to be willing to solve a problem in public and then screwing us once the cameras disappear. The presser with members of the military present made it harder for them to pull the same stunt this time around.
